hustle3999 comments on No Free trade with Colombia total collapse of the US economy... what a bunch of B.S. The employment rate in the U.S is 94.9%, exports have steadily grown as has tourism. Is the economy going through a recession yes but a total collapse..come on. Even in a recession the U.S economy is relatively heatlhy compared to the Reagan years in the 80's when unemployment was in double digits.

hustle3999 comments on Chrysler, Ford and General Motors Support U.S.-Colombia Free Trade Agreement that "400" is higly disputable as there was only 35 union members killed last year. (Uribe's administration places the number closer to 25) either way no will argue with the fact that Colombia is a safer country now than 10 years ago. The fact that politicians are being arrested and investigated is a sign of transparency in the Colombian government. Also i dont see how not passing this will somehow resolve the issue of union members being killed.

hustle3999 comments on Colombia already has access to 350 million consumers (the population of the US is actually 300 million). This just levels the taxes on both imports and exports like houston mention above. This is a deal that benefits the U.S more because it gives U.S companies more access to 43 million consumers by removing or lowering taxes on imports from the U.S that currently run as high as 35% while Colombian exports (U.S imports) almost have no taxes.

hustle3999 comments on Colombia(n) FARC says (it) won't free hostages in Venezuela what is the purpose of a demilitarized zone, after the hostages are freed then what, the farc finance their campaigns thru kidnapping and there's no reason to believe they'll ever stop. This negotiating is a joke, its a short term and resolves absolutely nothing between the the country and the guerrillas. The farc is a terrorist organization and people are proposal they give them land, thats insane.

hustle3999 comments on CAMERAS....IN RELATION TO COLOMBIA.... and since the World Is Still Nikon Nuts..... I would recommend sony camera's as I work for the company and use the product on a daily basis. One of the most important elements of a camera is the lens. Cybershot's use Carl Zeiss (best in the industry) lenses..also for US $250 DSCW80 7.2mp 3x optical zoom, Image stabilization Mpeg video recording this is a really good deal. Don't go for film, very little support for that format anymore and DSLR (digital single lens reflex) cameras are OVERKILL for anyone buying their first camera though they are made great cameras. Also DO NOT get a digital camera that uses AA or AAA batteries.

hustle3999 comments on Colombians Live Better In Colombia Then In Boston this is absurd...I was born in Bogota, my mother's family is from Santander, Velez..they grew dirt poor as did my father...Now they own a business and my mother works for Metlife (no college degree), im currently attending a private university in Boston. I grew up in Chelsea which is next to East Boston and there's no question I have the opportunities i have now because my parents came to the USA, of couse immigrants struggle here as they do all over the world having to adapt to a new culture and society.
