Hi - I have many years experience teaching English to business people in France, Italy and for the last year in Medellin (including ISA and Bancolombia), and I have the latest University of Cambridge CELTA certificate. If your friend is comfortable with technology I can also provide podcasts and recordings of lessons to help continue practising outside lesson time. I charge 30,000 pesos/hour, and live in El Pablado (nice flat with whiteboard and recording equipment). My Spanish is poor, so I prefer not to take complete beginners. fh

My mother-in-law (or 'beautiful mother' in French) has a flat in San Diego (7 minutes from El Poblado and 10 minutes from city centre), with a room she rents by the month. She is very sociable and a very good cook. About 600,000 COP/month. fh

I have a friend with a 900 cc motorcycle, who is an experienced biker, who has done it several times. His best time was 8.5 hours. So I would not attempt it on anything less than a 500 cc (and I recommend a windscreen).

Cannot say if she is 'cheap' except to say she is half the price of any English private dentist. About 5 minutes by car from El Poblado area.
