I like hanging at the Fidel w/my wifes family,drinking rum and beer laughing.Walking around the city is also fun until you get mugged by a group of tranny's lol.There is something magical about the city thats for sure.

My ugly American side is definetly BBQ.My father-n-law loves it as well.Every time I come to visit he always ask for Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce.I showed my wifes family how to cook BBQ pork ribs.Unfortunately now everytime I come to Cartagena they expect me to cook for them and frankly I hate cooking when it's so damn hot.I mean surface of the sun hot.

I can sooo relate.I play in a blues band here in Indiana,guitar & harmonica.I love classic rock.My wife is from CTG absolutely hates everything classic rock.Loves the shit out of disco.Back in CTG my brother-n-law tells me how much he loves American rock n roll such as Donna Summer & the Bee Gees.I know the pain of being a closet rocker.Thank God my wife dosen"t listen to that shitty Mexican Durango & Banda.That stuff sounds like drunk country polka!! lol.

My wife and I go to CTG every two years.She from CTG we always have a good time we visit.There are a lot of great places to check out outside the tourist area.My only problem I have going to CTG is my mother-n-law who is always on my ass and her hands in my pocket.I still hope to move there in a couple of years.Right now my 401 is in the toilet as probally many of other people.

I married my wife 8 years ago, she's from Cartagena. Before we wed we sought advise from a immigration lawyer.He said it is best to be married in the states first then file for petition.He stated the approval from Colombian Consulate could take forever.This is also pre 9/11 so I think it has gotten worse. So my advise to you is fly her to the states get hitched file petition and work visa at the same time. Good luck to you.

Hello I'm new to this site and I have been to Cartagena many times with my wife. She is from Cartagena and now a U.S citizen.We live here in Indiana and have decided that winter sucks so bad that we would like to invest our meeger savings into a buisness in Cartagena so we could live permantly.Any ideas?
