gringoloid comments on "Capitulation", anyone try it?

pedro, i'll tell you.......truthspeaker has a total command of the english language, american style, but born in colombia. that's odd, but i suppose that could be true. maybe he went to the states when he was young. i've been trying to identify his avatar..........maybe a clue there. some things just don't add up....................i don't think a colombian would have challenged that king of medellin guy. in fact, he has a typical american, confrontational style of writing and challenging that is certainly not typical of a colombian. he also has good investigative skills that you would not need to develop in a homogeneous colombian society but certainly would develop in the states. for a newbie, he writes as if he knows us. very strange for being here only a month. the writing style is closest to ...............i'm going to guess..............utopiacowboy.

gringoloid comments on "Capitulation", anyone try it?

ahhh, truthspeaker, i wish i knew your identity. please promise to tell me some day. i know that you're close to at least one of my friends............ and you may be a close friend of mine, like someone i know personally. you got me curious though.

gringoloid comments on Is there an AAA in Colombia… Colombian Auto Association?

papi..........you asked me about this before.............i think this is the closest you're going to get: http://www.acc.com.co/

gringoloid comments on "Capitulation", anyone try it?

no, i'm serious, and you just cracked me up laughing.............why would you think i'm kidding around?

gringoloid comments on US Stock Market Nosedives another 200 Points, Now below 11000 for 1st time in 2 years

Can you give me a symbol for the eurodollar future? and are you long or short?

gringoloid comments on "Capitulation", anyone try it?

the problem is i don't know how long i'm going to live; people in my family live a long time.......the oldest recently was 109. i may have a long retirement with no income. it would be difficult to divide things up at my age now; plus trying to start over in another country where i don't have the connections and am not fluent in the language. in my case, my colombian girlfriend is quite well off financially........she's young.......has a relatively good job for a colombian...........she'll do fine.

gringoloid comments on "Capitulation", anyone try it?

hey blondie, you wanna get married?

gringoloid comments on US Stock Market Nosedives another 200 Points, Now below 11000 for 1st time in 2 years

LDW, how come you don't just trade the index futures as an option? You don't have to day trade it and i think playing with XBD, it is relatively less risky..........although i don't want to kid anyone, ...there is still a lot of risk there. You''ve explained to me once before about the bonds but i don't think i have the time to try and learn that. although i have one etf like that, TLT, and i'm shorting it. i bet you don't like that idea but it is barely in the money and i have until december until it expires.

gringoloid comments on Invest in Platinum, Gold, or Silver?

Pee, you were the one that talked about the 90% bags of coins. I've owned them along with the 100 oz bars. lack of intelligence huh? i've done more international shipments of precious metals than anyone you know or anyone on this website knows. i just deleted my advice in the first paragraph because you are undeserving of any help. it's your problem, not mine that you are so sensitive about the prison video comment. so go ahead pee.........bring in all the gold and silver you want.

gringoloid comments on Invest in Platinum, Gold, or Silver?

salt, a lot of precious metal purchasers are really not '"ínvesting' as you put it, but protecting themselves against some problem with the dollar. it makes them feel better to have a small percentage of their portfolio in metal. since 2005 the gains have been dramatic. trading gold etf options may not be considered an investment by most, but in a broad sense, it is to me............and right along with oil, there are some fantastic returns. that place i mentioned, goldmoney.com, will allow you to trade to a certain extent so when gold has a huge run up, you can sell your position and then re-enter at a lower price. it's also a way to stash huge amounts of money overseas without reporting to the US Treasury in June of each year because goldmoney.com is not a bank. Perfectly legal. the 3 year return on vgpmx, a metal mutual fund is 44.40%. so this is not a good investment? collectible, antique gold and silver coins probably have had the biggest return. please tell us what your investments have been and the returns and i'll figure the risk/reward ratio. and '"this time", the US is a debtor nation, not a creditor nation. big difference.

gringoloid comments on Invest in Platinum, Gold, or Silver?

pardon me pee for answering your question with the parameters you gave us...........also, with that volume of silver coins you mentioned, you're going to find the storage costs here in colombia quite high.

gringoloid comments on Input needed: keep house and stuff in U.S.?

jonny305..........what he's saying is that when you have a rental anything you do is a tax writeoff. so when you go to visit the rental you can deduct the cost of the visit. i'm not sure how much of a trip from colombia is deductible, but i'm sure there is a deduction there.

gringoloid comments on Invest in Platinum, Gold, or Silver?

i'm looking at the overnight markets now and there is a lot of downward pressure here. looks like it's going to be a good day in the market tomorrow.......if it goes down that is! i tell you though, i would like to know who it is that's buying all these stocks right now with rising p/e ratios.

gringoloid comments on Invest in Platinum, Gold, or Silver?

i love that kind of action......that's what its all about in options. i was sitting here watching the dow and the nasdaq go up through the roof and when cof got to $44, the nasdaq started to tank, i shorted it. these are just good old bounces. i think more importantly, google missed its mark.

gringoloid comments on Invest in Platinum, Gold, or Silver?

dude, what are you going to do, bring the metal in on an airplane? you're going to be the next actor in one of the prison videos we show here. where are you going to store that metal now that you've announced your holdings here on the internet? do yourself a favor and go to www.goldmoney.com and open an account there. everbank would be a distant second choice.

kat and desi.........are you saying that if Rubito opens another account under a new user name but the same IP that he can return to PBH without being deleted?

gringoloid comments on PETER PLEASE READ -VERY IMPORTANT!

web.......i also think buggy and rubito should not have been deleted. they are a product of their environments.

gringoloid comments on PETER PLEASE READ -VERY IMPORTANT!

I want to make one correction, GIB resigned his membership here and asked that all his comments be deleted. GIB's subsequent personalities were the ones deleted.

gringoloid comments on PETER PLEASE READ -VERY IMPORTANT!

the op has a legitimate complaint even though i don't agree with the op's point. raaay and robi are not the same person. i've had my problems with raaay but one thing i can say for sure is that he is not a sex tourist. to label him as such is libel as far as i'm concerned. same thing with robi. i'm surprised raay is brushing this off with a few laughs; some scatter brained gringa/idiot kept labeling me as a sex tourist about a year ago. i want to tell you kevinl newbie, using that term looseley in describing people you don't know is the biggest crime there is around here. and for the umpteenth time, morphus is just kidding around.

gringoloid comments on R-DAY! A Day that Will Live in Infamy!

pedro..............in the tide of war..........with both sides dug in..............the impossibility of the female mind.........................i mean this is why we have wars...............injustice, genocide, that's what it's all about. i think powwow, colombianmike, medoblado, and GIB would receive a warmer reception than Rubito right now. you're right, it may take a while for the wounds to heal.............a good long while. i'm going on a hunger strike until rubito is allowed to return.

gringoloid comments on Tattoos

what do you mean forget about the bet in a few weeks? i have two contests going on right now, and i will be here in the coming year to confront my opponents whether i'm right or wrong. unless i get kicked off pbh of course. the fact is i think you may have already lost. i remember a year ago that the amount of money going into tattooing was in decline from the previous years. i think 2002 to 2006 was the highpoint. so if the spike down is equivalent to the spike up........you have a fad. this may show up sooner than you think. i was severely ridiculed here by some dumbassess when i said oil would go to $150 barrel. it seemed impossible at the time, when oil was about $50 a barrel. we're closing in on that figure pretty fast. the point of the betting is to get someone to commit to a point...........i could care less about the amount........it could be a dime for all i care. it's just that if you challenge someone, you should be able to back it up. that's my point that long hair on men is not limited to oregon. back in the early seventies almost any man under 50 had long hair. you didn't have to go and just look for them at a phish concert, they were everywhere. and just like it arose, it died, not totally of course but nothing like what it was in the 70's. (i didn't have long hair as i was in ROTC) i did ride a Harley and became long haired though in my early 50's for awhile. (RichUrbanBikers..RUB's....another fad?????) I'll see tomorrow if i can find the stats on money going into tattooing.

gringoloid comments on R-DAY! A Day that Will Live in Infamy!

CG, i think it was a joke because skylar seemed so desperate at the time. running out on 5 or 6 grand is really not the thing to do. he was wondering if they could collect from him after he 'disappeared' in colombia.

gringoloid comments on R-DAY! A Day that Will Live in Infamy!

yes, they certainly can call a spade a spade without resorting to that kind of language. i don't use that kind of language, even when i'm mad at someone here. i think that is the way he was............after all, Pres Harry Truman talked like that, and some people felt uncomfortable with his honesty. my point is that Rubito probably didn't know that he was irritating the mods and my point was not that that kind of language is justified.

gringoloid comments on Tattoos

still nope, long hair was around for thousands of years also, maybe millions. it was a fad though in the late sixties and early seventies. some people still have long hair today and probably always will.........you can go to oregon and see countless burnt out male hippies with long hair......including the bald spot in the back. how many tv shows have their been on tattooing? will they be around two or three years from now? nope. tattoos will always be around including in the south pacific where it is some kind of religious practice. but i'll make a bet with you...........it's the only way i can prove a point around here. i say the the money going into tattooing in the united states will begin declining as the years go on and the ink tv shows will disappear along with more money going into removing tatoos rather than drawing them. what do you say?

gringoloid comments on R-DAY! A Day that Will Live in Infamy!

skylar was some guy here who was going to just leave his country in europe without paying his debts. it was such a small amount of money, like $5000, that if he ever wanted to return he would still have this hanging over him. i don't think he told us what his final decision was but somebody wanted to take a collection for him.

gringoloid comments on Tattoos

""Tattoos are far from a fad, however. Fads are very short term and they are only popular in small circles of society. I do not think that can be said about tattoos."" Nope, they are a fad, just like long hair was. when the next group comes along they will ridicule these tattooed people just like the punk rockers did to the hippies in the late 70's. already in los angeles i'm seeing billboards on the 405 advertising tattoo removal. tattoos have been short term.........although i don't agree that a fad is confined to a small circle of people. hula hoops, long hair on men, bowling alleys, etc swept the nation in their prime.

gringoloid comments on Tattoos

i broke up a serious relationship basically a year ago today over her tattoo. i just couldn't deal with it. it was a flower on her left boob.....maybe if it was hidden somewhere i could have handled it.

gringoloid comments on R-DAY! A Day that Will Live in Infamy!

in the peso contest it's a pool of $10 each that we were supposed to donate to skylar to help with his debt problems so he can come to colombia. in the economy contest it's ice cream but i wouldn't take anything to eat from the losers if i was to win as i think they would try and poison me.

gringoloid comments on Tattoos

i notice a lot of them get these meaningless asian sayings type tattoos.

gringoloid comments on R-DAY! A Day that Will Live in Infamy!

i don't think so kalder but i'm working that angle also. thing is, he's winning the peso contest right now..........and he's with me as a #1 on the economy contest. how is he going to collect his prize?

gringoloid comments on Tattoos

i can't tell you how much i hate tatoos. i also hate fads and that's what this is. half the money in tattooing is putting them on and the other half is taking them off. and boy does it hurt to take them off. i understand they're using a disappearing ink now that will be easier to remove. some of these girls are going to be real sorry and i think they already are..........they thought it was real cool when they were drunk on spring break to get this tattoo and now they're some flabby 35yo driving their kid to school in a volvo ....filled with regret. i do like one tattoo though, it's the big one that young girls get on there lower back, which i've learned means...........come and f*** me.

gringoloid comments on Will NEVER step foot into Mangos in Medellin again nor recommend it to my customers.

strange.........165 comments.............one of the top 5 commented on posts of the summer. i dunno. i remember when i was living in new york city a visiting truckdriver shot and killed a bartender over the price of a glass of jack daniels. strange world we live in.

gringoloid comments on Will NEVER step foot into Mangos in Medellin again nor recommend it to my customers.

hold it, hold it.........he's just kidding around.

yenta is like a gossipy woman........i've never heard it outside of new york city.

Saving Private Rubito.....................soon to be turned into a movie.

gringoloid comments on Will NEVER step foot into Mangos in Medellin again nor recommend it to my customers.

alright, i have it now..............why are so many over on calle 33? didn't raay have his furniture store over there?

gringoloid comments on Will NEVER step foot into Mangos in Medellin again nor recommend it to my customers.

alright, i'm looking through the medellin yellow pages.........what is the spanish word for brothels, entertainers, etc.? (i'm not going to call these places up or go there; i'm strictly doing research)

gringoloid comments on Will NEVER step foot into Mangos in Medellin again nor recommend it to my customers.

i think i'll take your advice morph.........but for me the real problem is the loud music............i can't hear people talking to me along with trying to decipher spanish and i think it is boring to just stand there looking at the band.

gringoloid comments on Will NEVER step foot into Mangos in Medellin again nor recommend it to my customers.

i'm sitting here wondering about the priorities of commenters on pbh. the u.s. government took on $5.3 trillion dollars in new debt over the weekend with the fannie mae, freddie mac bailout, effectively doubling the national debt in 48 hours, and not a word of this on pbh.

gringoloid comments on Will NEVER step foot into Mangos in Medellin again nor recommend it to my customers.

on the problems of colombia, Mangos would rank about 14,696,475 on the list. so i log in and this thread is still going strong.........i think i'll add it to the list of topics that get people riled up around here. english teachers trying to kill each other; tipping in colombia would be another. but now you're getting me curious; if anyone wants to show me where it is, i'll spring for the taxi and some drinks. i hope the music isn't too loud.

gringoloid comments on Will NEVER step foot into Mangos in Medellin again nor recommend it to my customers.

i''ve spent quite some time in medellin and i've never been to this place mangos. i always wanted to go but this thread is beginning to change my mind. does any one have anything positive to say about this place before i cross it off my list of things to do?

gringoloid comments on Rubito is missing

i think the mods should reconsider.........show what big people they are...........and let Rubito to return.........with all discussion about it to stop. maybe rubito could make a statement that he did not know that he was being disrespectful.

gringoloid comments on Women in Bogota Prison/ Beauty Contest! Here is the Video..........

for once, i agree with you wendell. i'd like to hear the other side of the story like what crime were they originally charged with.

gringoloid comments on Rubito is missing

the point is kat is that he wrote harshly to anyone that would disagree with him................................... or maybe attack him ..........or maybe said something that he thought was stupid. he used the F word liberally, he told people they were full of it, and if someone was proven wrong, he would tell them to ''take your meds.'' this was all accepted by everyone here that that was the way he was. i don't think he would have known he was doing something wrong.

gringoloid comments on Rubito is missing

management has no credibility in this matter unless rubitos comments are posted to see if they differ greatly from his usual harsh style of writing. i would also like to compare rubitos statements with the physical threats i've received from european posters that are still there. put up or shut up.
