Living in Bogota..

Hello, im seriously thinking of living in Colombia with my girlfriend who lives with her family in South Bogota. I have visited them and stayed there, she has a very nice family that take good care of me, My spanish is not very good at all so i had a few problems. Do you think that i will be able to live there in these circumstances with not understanding much spanish, my plan is to take spanish classes also whilst i am there.
