Long term rental / Cartagena or Medellin

Checking prices now for a long-term rental in Cartagena or Medellin. I wanted to check this site before I go through the motions next time I travel to Colombia. I seek a good price (as we all do) and a nice neighborhood. A good example is that I enjoy very much the Andino area of Bogota when I travel to that city. And yes (anticipating the sarcasm here) - I do know that Andino and Cartagena are very different. That should give perspective I think. Furnished or unfurnished.

Please help - anyone...

I am brand new here so I just need advice please. I want o marry my colombian girlfriend - we think if I marry here there it will be quick to get her the visa. Is this correct? What can I do to possibly accelerate this process? Any help is desired - hiring poeple in bogota to push buttons is an option if it can be done. Lawyers,... whatever...price is not an oject... I truly love this woman ...
