felipe.galindo comments on Colombia vs Thailand

Colombia, definetly Hey man, I am Colombian but lived in many places in the world including Japan, Germany the US, central and south America..well I went to Tailand for about a week, what can i tell you... i really liked it, i thought it was full of culture and a big caothic cosmopolitan city....living there...mmmm I don“t think so. As you said the cultural differences are big and the traffic, all the noise..the caothic factor that i was talking about is a big withdraw to live there, besides, they will always know you are a Foreign.
For Colombia...well, you have it all here, anything you want, any climate, any food, all sorts of entertainment, beaches, ecoturism, cosmopolitan cities, deserts, jungle....All. I would say however that the best part is the people, colombians are just naturaly warm very polite and they will try their best to make you feel as welcome as possible. As any other part of the world, you have to be careful who you hang out with and where you go, Bogota, Cali, Medellin, Bucaramanga, Cartagena and even smaller cities will feel very modern, with tons of choices for restaurants, clubs, culture...etc.
I hope that helps.

Take care.

felipe.galindo comments on Is it that bad?

comment Colombia is just plain awesome.
You will see the contrasts specially in the Big cities, In the north (depending on the city) is pretty much like europe or North America, and in the other side it is more like a developing country.
You just need to have a tiny bit of common sense and you will be fine.

Hope it is hopeful to you.
