Cali Airport

I visited Cali for the first time last weekend. When departing (American Airlines flight to Miami), the security procedures included an x-ray, sort of like out of Maria Full of Grace, minus an opportunity to consent.

But, the x-ray was carried out in such a cavalier manner that I wonder whether an x-ray was actually taken. No lead aprons, several feet distant from the camera ‘lens’. Pretty worrisome if x-rays are actually taken. Uneducated people directing unknown quanti ...

Valledupar and Riohacha

Is anyone familiar with Valledupar in Cesar Province and Riohacha in Guajira? Are they too far off the beaten path for gringos to visit? Any problems with travelling by bus between the two towns?
