Fiesta tonight and tomorrow in Cali's Granada barrio

There are free food samples, entertainment for adults and kids, beer and music. I suggest going after sundown, because even though the signs say 11 AM to 11 PM, things were barely coming together today at 1:30 PM. Last year's Granada festival was lots of fun. I have read many books on learning Spanish, and taken four months of lessons, but the most useful thing I have done to learn Spanish is to read this book. It's not a school textbook, so it is cheap at $12.95.

This is a good book for those who are just starting to learn Spanish, to get a head start before taking lessons.

Just place an ad in the newspaper stating "House in Santa Monica for rent. 4 bedrooms, pool. 2.5 million" Then, when people call, invite them over.

In the downtown of Cali where I live, not 2 mintues go by during the day when there isn't a car alarm sounding somewhere. The WheeWheeWheeWhee sound can be heard from a kilomter away. From my balcony, I can see some of the cars with the alarms on. One had the driver in it. Maybe the alarm is more entertaining than the radio? One was set off by a passing car. One was set off by the lady yelling "Aguacate!". One is in our apartment's underground garage and is set off by my dropping a garbage bag d ...
