It has been since always, the things that are more atractive to and known by the foreigners are the worst. We are a lot more than silicon valley, sadly, some people just can see that, we don't have the fault of the short sight of the others. And about what we wished, I never wanted my city to be one of the biggest brothels in south america!!!! excuse me but no!

Bueno, y a todas estas... qué es ser guiso? no me vengan con que la idiosincracia de un pueblo es "de mal gusto"... sería aterrador que todos los países tuviéramos la misma cultura... nuestras diferencias no nos hacen inferiores, nos hacen diferentes y diferente no significa ni malo ni bueno, además, nadie que haya nacido en suelo colombiano puede salvarse de la lista, aunque sea sólo por una cosa... muy horrible? ES LO QUE HAY. Nuestro entorno es diferente y por lo tanto nuestras costumbres lo son... y eso debería enorgullecernos, es nuestra cultura y somos nosostros quienes definimos lo que encaja en ella, no las diferencias externas; qué pesar, en el mundo hay muchos que no saben siquiera que existen los tomates de árbol, que son deliciosos y en jugo, mejor (o es que hay frutas de "buen o de mal gusto"? jajajaaj que ridículo) Por favor, no sigamos negando lo que somos, hay que sentirse orgullosos de ello, que bueno que somos diferentes... PD: A mi también me pareció chistosísima la lista, ahí estamos pintados, lo que no me gustó fué lo de guiso o no guiso... como así?

esatranslator comments on anyone want to form a band? Where are you located? I'm from Medellín and I´m singer interested in the band. And in common agree with all the musicians gifted with common sense and a little bit of knowledge, I must say that Jazz deserves all respect, is great music, you have to be tremendous musician to play it, anyway it is difficult to hear for regular people, it is elaborated music with sofisticated sounds, dont blame them for loving just reggaeton (... by the way, I think that's not even music...) Jazz is not for everyone.

En toda latinoamérica se pueden ver estos contrastes, por un lado de la cuidad (cualquiera) hay una parte donde las paersonas viven en la más humillante miseria y al otro lado están unos cuantos que si poseen, y en cantidades repulsivas y que se han vuelto ciegos e insensibles, han adquirido el poder de ignorar la miseria que cada vez es mayor (o si no diganme, quien puede caminar dos cuadras sin ver por lo menos a un indigente? NOTA: la mayoría de las personas que viven ahora en la calle son desplazados de esta guerra absurda que se inventaron unos pocos) ... la desproporción y la injusticia son el pan de todos los días por acá en el sur, a los pobres campesinos el gobierno no les subsidia nada, como ocurre en otros países... so sad, so bad

There's concerts and exhibitions all over the city, I cannot find a site with the schedule in english, anyway today there's a Jazz and Bossa Nova concert at Parque de los Deseos and there's another concerty at Parque del Poblado (don't know who's playing) and for the rest of the week thare's ochids, birds and flowers exhibition at Jardín Botánico and Bonsai exhibition at San Diego mall, I don't know about other concerts, exhibitions or movies but there are.

esatranslator comments on Las mujeres lideran la creación de empresas Es bueno que se den este tipo de incentivos a la mujer, y que la iniciativa se haya dado en Medellín, contraponiéndose de cierto modo a la fuerte presión que hay en esta misma ciudad por acomodarse al modelo estético impuesto por las top models paisas y los medios colombianos de comunicación (bastante por fuera del standard internacional, entre otras cosas). La alcaldía ha iniciado una serie de campañas en contra de los transtornos alimenticios que estaban adquiriendo cifras epidémicas y a favor de la inclusión de la mujer en diversos escenarios. Bacano que a las mujeres se les reconozca más que por su exterior, y que las mismas mujeres estén dándose cuenta de eso :)

esatranslator comments on Well it is because maybe you think that paramilitar conflict is relatively recient (10 or15 years), but is not, just media interest is new (don't know if has something to do with Uribe's dad killed by guerrilla and his wishes of revenge... just saying), but paramilitar groups have almost always existed here, just check colombian history and you will see. Both sides have their hands cover on blood, both are mercenarys, you will run from both, the diference is that one of them was created and is supported by goverment (can guess wich one?). Again, just an opinion.
