Arroz con Pollo Recipe

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me, I'm cooking Arroz con Pollo for the first time in about a year tonight, and I just can't remember if you cook the chicken along with the rice or beforehand and then add?

If anyone has a simple recipe, then that would also be really helpful.

Lacsa/ Avianca

I leave on Sunday for Colombia, but this time I will go through the U.S and I am flying from LA with Lacsa. Is that the actual name of the airline itself, becuase when I went on the website, it seemed like they were an umbrella organisation that includes Avianca.

So in other people's experience would I be looking for the Lacsa desk, or Avianca when I get to LA?

Does this exist or not?
Last year I know that Carl Cox did a tour and was in Bogota and Cali, unfortunately I dodn't see him as my boyfriend said the club he was playing in Cali was dodgy....however, I just took this to be normal as most parties aren't exactly held in the most normal of places.

Learning spanish in Cali

Hi all,

I'm going to Cali in January and have been planning to take Spanish lessons. I've found information on courses at Javeriana-Cali campus which sound quite good. I've also looked up ICESI, but I didn't find anything pertaining to Spanish lessons directly.

Does anyone know of any other schools or private institutes in Cali that offer spanish lessons? I am looking to learn more than passable spanish, I would like to get to a really good conversational leve ...

Melbourne to Bogota...Aussie help?

I was just wondering for the Aussies out there what sort of prices you got for your flights and which way you went? I flew last year (August) through Chile (Melbourne-Sydney-Wellington-Santiago-Lima-Bogota) with a two day stopover in Santiago and I had a return ticket valid for a year. From what I can remember I think it cost me around $2900 Aus.

Degree grades required for teaching

HI all,

I was just interested to know if the grades that I have received throughout my degree (Business) will have any affect on getting a job teaching English? I am hoping to get a job teaching in a university and just wanted to know if any of you that have done that were required to send your transcript or show it at any time?

My marks aren't completely terrible, but I am a bit of a slacker I admit!

I was just curious about whether anybody else here has had the same problem with speaking spanish. Basically, I cannot roll my 'R's! This means that for example if I want to say something such as 'Perro Calliente' it sounds like I am saying 'Pero calliente'....But dog!?!

Has anybody else had this problem? I've since found that only my mum and little sister can, while my dad, brother, older sister and myself all cannot roll our R's. Is there any cha ...

Sorry...I know this may have been done to death, but I am just getting so confused.

I've recently come back from 6 months in Colombia, Im Australian and my boyfriend is Colombian and still there. He has just been rejected for permanent residency here.
