Teaching English in Colombia

Just got my CELTA and rearing to go back to SA. Used to work in Peru ("nothing for something and more chicks than you can handle for free") however prefer getting paid for work and would appreciate advice from those of you who've somehow managed to do just that in Colombia. Where to stay in Cali

Will be going to Cali mid-Feb, would love to hear
your suggestions re: where to stay. Any reasonably
- not necessarily cheap - hospedaje downtown, or
will I have to go to the outskirts? Will I be able
to obtain a discount at local hostals if I pay them
