elmexicano comments on Christian Churches in Medellin?

There is a church on Las Vegas, across the street from a school if i remember correctly in the Poblado area . If you are going North it will be on your right hand side, it is a white building with blue trimming (if you go past Calle10, you've gone too far). To me it looks like a car garage. Services start early, but they have different services through out the day. It is a evangelical church, I have been to a service there before. I think there is a mural of a red heart on the building. I hope this helps!

elmexicano comments on Night life in Cali

besides all the bad talk, it is a nice place and will be in Cali the 2nd week of June.

elmexicano comments on Beauty and the Buffoons

elmexicano comments on Is it any more dangerous for an America soldier vs. an America citizen to visit Colombia?

You'll have no problem in Colombia. Just dont wear your BDU's and you'll be fine. Just don't tell anyone you are in the Army. Whooah!

elmexicano comments on what kind of cars are there in colombia

I seen alot of fords and chevrolets but they are not the kind we see in the states, they are small little cars.

I have been to body tech, you can pay per day. But it is pricy, even for a regular membership. Alot of eye candy, and is in a nice area. Ask for a tour, there is a guy there that speaks english, Icant remember his name. I highly reccomend using the eliptical and watch the ladies do the spinning. WHAT MOTIVATION! It's kind of hidden in the poblado area.

elmexicano comments on Venezuela posses the strongest Air Force in the Region-Colombia counters

some interesting opinions The Su-30MK-V would make pretty fireworks if the US ever had to shoot them down. I wouldnt say the Falcon is inferior to the Flanker although the Flanker has some advantages over the Falcon, either way we (USA) are phasing out the Falcon to make way for the Stealth F-22A. Chavez can build his air force all he wants, you can't win a war with just air to air alone, if we ever had to intervene Venezuela better make a move quick before our nearly undetectable Stealth Bombers destroy their air field (we are best at that by the way). Either way who knows how good of pilots venezuela posses anyways.

HOOAH!

Hugo Chavez is the DEVIL and Communism is a disease

elmexicano comments on Panaderia

modesto I'm originally from Fresno, I don't know if that would hold up against all the Mexican Panderias. People usually stay with what they know. If you want to make it, you need to go to more of a multi-cultural city. LA SF or SD would be your best bet in Cali (California). Not too many Colombians in the San Joaquin Valley, but there are some.

elmexicano comments on People here sometimes tend to talk about colombian women

kudos! I agree sweetg30! I see it alot on these forums. But I must say, there are alot of friendly helpful people on here also that their topic isnt just about women(:you know who guys are:). laterz'

elmexicano comments on Mexican Spanish vs. Colombia Spanish

I been to DF, it all depends on who is speaking. If you're going to talk to a person off the street opposed to a professor of course you are going to get different responses. I'd say the spanish in Guadalajara is more proper than those of Mexico City. When I talk to Colombian women at times I have a hard time understanding some of their slang. I don't think that there is a proper spanish anymore. I don't care who gives their opinion.

elmexicano comments on Panama

One more thing be prepared for the humidity, and try not to get a taxi outside the airport. Walk a little ways down, and wave a cab. One guy wanted to charge me and my buddy $40.00! We were like screw that! We walked a little ways down and flagged a taxi for $15.00 The airport taxi pick up in Panama is so unorganized! The only thing I remember when leaving the airport was the humidity and smog from the diesel buses.

elmexicano comments on Panama

I been to Panama, you are going to notice that when you go to a night club, I'd say about 85% of the women are Colombianas. Panama is a very nice place, everything is dirt cheap. I didnt pay no more that $1.00 a drink and no more than $4.00 for a taxi ride (and this was half way across the city). Just an FYI when you want to wave a cab, make sure you are good distance from the front of the hotel. I will be in panama late January and then off to Medellin! If you have any questions hit me up, I'll try to answer your party questions to the best of my ability regarding Panama. Sorry, to all the people that want to talk about Colombia, just trying to answer the gents question.

elmexicano comments on Coffee

I'm in Phoenix, and I never heard of it.

elmexicano comments on

FYI: Oliver Stone is a Vietnam Vet, I don't think the jungles would be nothing new to him.

elmexicano comments on How much do Colombians normally tip at restaurants?

tipping Really, If you are wondering about leaving a tip then just do it, don't be so cheap, in actuallity what is it costing you? I'm not saying to go out and just start handing money out either. Laterz'

elmexicano comments on Learning spanish in Barranquilla

about different dialects I Know there are different dialects, I lived in Tijuana Mexico and I have visited D.F. (Mexico City) and see the differences in the dialects. I totally understand what you mean by different dialects. I think Barranquilla would be a lil safer for me.

elmexicano comments on Learning spanish in Barranquilla

Thanks for the info guys..... Well, I can say I understand about 35-45% Spanish. I am Mexican, I am choosing Barranquilla because I love the beach. And If I plan on being some where for sometime I wouldn't mind having some Aquatic recreation. And no I don't anyone there in Barranquilla. Please people keep sending me info, I appreciate it all.

elmexicano comments on awsome time in barranquilla

i'd like to see the pics. I am planning to go to Colombia, I keep getting stuck on whether I should go to Barranquilla or Cali. I love the beach, but I would like to see Cali. I just can't make up my mind, either way I know both would be great to visit. What would you prefer?

elmexicano comments on What's the Possibility of My Novia Receiving a Tourist Visa??

atomic bomb Well Mr. first of all Historians are a bunch of guessers. If we didnt drop the bomb we would have been invaded by the Japanese closer to home. And second read you're history, why dont you ask the people of Palao, Phillipines and other Pacific Islanders how they're families were brutally murdered by the thousands by the Japanese: mothers, fathers, children. Get the surviving families of the Atomic Bomb and people of the Pacific Islands to have a discussion. It may sound cruel but it got Japan to surrender and help our Allies defeat Germany in WWII. And there is a word for those killed by the bomb, it is called "Collateral Damage." If it wasn't for that we'd be speaking German and living under Communism, just like Cuba. Why don't you have a discussion with a family member who's family member was lost in Pearl Harbor.

elmexicano comments on Can an American own a house in Colombia?
