had done thru Lafam. No they did not do the actual operation. had both eyes done for distance. Could have done one for distance and one done for close. Both eyes, for both close and far $3000. One for far and one for close vision, $1500. Both eyes done for far vision, $1500. (Still have to wear glasses to read a newspaper, computer, etc. Highly recommend it. I wore glasses everyday for 20 years. NO mas !!!! I can see clearly now ! chao elkfarmer

If you are a spouse of a Colombiana, you can get a cedula in Colombia and a 2 year visa page in US passport. Just did it ! I was here 5 months on a tourist visa. If you are married to a Colombian, and have a Colombian resident status, you can apply at the Embassy for a Spouse Visa to USA.. (Doing that also) IR-1 Go to VISA JOURNEY. All kinds of help. When I enterented Colombia last October, I did not have to show my return ticket. I had a non refundable ticket ($700 USD) that was never used. Do not know if I would have been denied entry if I did not have it. I also did not need to show a ticket at DAS when renewing tourist visa. Have done so twice now at DAS.

Viet Nam Vet from America here. I am tired of the BS in Colombia. Going back to the real world in USA with Colombian wife. The banking system is beyond repair. They gave me extra fees for using ATM card, after three months ???? Come on people !

Just my dos pesos worth. I too am a Viet Nam vet from America now in Bogota. I did not like the service for 4 years either, but the experience I would not trade for anything. Beats the hell out of college, and taught me about life. God, it´s not like you have a war going on down here. The best advise in the world would be, to go for your country. But then, that is the problem in this whole country. No one really cares about anything but themselves and the almighty peso.
