El Santo comments on Where do I go on the coast? Caribbean coast is more suitable for tourists, try some other places if you don't like to revisit Cartagena. Pacific coast is not a tourist attraction. Ports there, Buenaventura and Tumaco in the South cannot be recommended, they are shabby towns. Of course, there are places like La Bocana or La Isla de Gorgona but they may not be something you are looking for. (see http://www.fortunecity.com/oasis/montego/390/gorgona/gorgona.html)

El Santo comments on Asà es Colombia, Buenaventura People wishing to see some views of Buenaventura could visit website http://www.fotopaises.com and type in "Buscar fotos:" the word "Buenaventura" and click "Buscar". There is a 3 page collection of photos at that website.

El Santo comments on Bus from Cali to Popayan & Cali to Buenaventura A bus trip (!) from Cali to Buenaventura or vice versa could be an excited experience but I would recommend "collectivo", somewhat more comfortable way to travel but more expensive too. It is very long time I have been around those places but I guess the transportation works as before... Good luck!
