Help!!!! Medellin Hotspots....

Ok everybody, any advice here would me much appreciated....

Im 20 and going to Medellin in March. Please help me out here with some spots I should hitup. From what Ive read, I dont want to stick around Parque Lleras and Poblado all the time. What are some good spots to hit up where I can find non-rich stuck up people. Which malls are good for this?

Also, I do want to stay in a nice hotel. Ive heard good things about Dann Carlton, where can I get the best rates ...
