Out of curiosity I would like to know a little bit about the process of becoming a Colombian citizen.
Taking in consideration that this is an adult, U.S. citizen by birth, whose parents were both born in Colombia.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of obtaining the Colombian citizenship if one of the reasons is wanting to live in Colombia for an extended period of time.
Hopefully, this does not imply losing U.S. citizenship; I don't think that is the case anyway.
I've been reading so many articles on this website and am so impressed by all of the really good information.
So I'm going to Bogota for the first time and will be staying in different parts of the city. I'd like to know the relative safety of these places, what there is to do there if any, and time it takes to get from these places to the more touristy and party places.
I will be staying in a place called:
Orquideas between Calle 160 and 170 somewhere
