It turns out that “community” is the official and best translation of “community” in Dutch.

Says who? And when is it official? According to Van Dale?
Sloppy journalists, lazy translators, and stupid marketeers are to blame for not using well established translations like “gemeenschap.”

It’s in Van Dale.
“Gemeenschap” doesn’t sound right, and has sexual connotations.
