Which brings me to this question: why hasn’t anybody tackled the problem of managing mailing list subscriptions easily? It’s not that hard, I think it’s just a lack of imagination.

I thought mailing lists were replaced by feeds… no one wants to sign up for feeds anymore… I’ve stopped completely. I’d rather use feeds, and for group discussions I’d rather use google/yahoo groups instead where I can control over when I want to leave the group.

I meant to say that no one wants to sign up for mailing lists anymore :) [ I hate that comments don't have any editing capability ;) ]

Because that would make it easy to cancel, and that’s the last thing they want you to do!
