Somehow, Vox (SixApart’s new service that came out of beta today) just doesn’t appeal to me. Not sure why that is.

I’ve been reviewing the Vox service from all angles except design (olgahow.vox.com). I’ll take that on later.
I found that it’s extremely easy to create a seemingly full blog with little effort. In one of Nilesen’s alertbox topics, Participation Inequality (http://www.useit.com/alertbox/participation_inequality.html), he talks about making participation a side effect. Vox does this so well in fact, that even if you write one blog entry your page seems full.
My guess so far is that this service is meant as a networking community tool between friends, collegues, mom groups, etc., in the same way LinkedIn is used in business.
If we were to say that ease in participation and sharing content is key, Vox will most likely succeed.

Design is a whole other matter.
