First, thank you for picking up on this peter.

I think "Much ado" is some sort of apple appologist. I think the same person posted on my blog. Certainly the comments follow a similar patern. Their comments are both a misintepretation of what I said, and simply wrong. A SINGLE visual display of the feed url is NOT a permalink.

I'm talking about permalinks...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permalink

"A permalink is a URL that points to a specific blogging entry even after the entry has passed from the front page into the blog archives."

Apple contains a single link in the directory. This is unacceptable.

There should be a permalink for each and every podcast back to the original blog post whence it came.

The Democracy media aggregator from the participatory culture foundation just included permalinks in their application at the request of videobloggers. iTunes is one of the few if only ones who don't.

I will continue to pursue this issue until iTunes is either irelevant or apple ads them.

On a side note, apple's iPhoto does contain permalinks for photocasts.

Again thanks peter. I can use all the help I can get on this issue.

I missed one...the link is also posted right in itunes (not the music sore) when you click on the "i" info icon ,in the description column, to the right of the podcast name.

If you're talking about someone's actual podcast library, then no, there are no weblinks. But in Apple's Podcast Directory, there is a link to the podcast's website clearly marked in the upper right-hand corner.

Nonsense. If I click on the podcast a small arrow icon appears to the right of the podcast's name....click on the arrow it will take me to all the podcasts under that name. Look to the upper right of the page in iTunes in a column along the right side of the page one of the choices is website...guess what that does? Some of the arrow icons actually take you right to the distributors website.
