At DEMO, they’re charging US$ 15,000 to do a demo. That’s like only worth it if you’re looking for VC cash. In other words, DEMO is only for VC companies, not web2.0 companies (who are supposed to do without VC cash, right?).

    Sounds like the pay to play music seen. Sounds like everything I’m agains in media, the opposite of participatory culture. Elitest bull honkey. I’ve heard a lot of stories about Demo in the last week. Everywhere, even the local paper. It really burns me that it’s pay to play. Pardon my french, but f’ that sh-t. Everything I stand for is the opposite of that.
