I have an ipod with video playback for over a year now, but I’ve never felt the need to watch video’s on it. I prefer a bigger screen. But then, I work in a cinema :-)

Hello,
What do I have to do, to make an audiobook file appear on the audiobook folder on my iPod?
I didn't get it how does it work.
Is there a special extension for audiobooks, because I've tried to convert to ACC (tutorial on this forum) but it didn't work.
Please, help me.

Video ipods already exist with older ipods running linux. I have a ipod photo that plays videos and runs linux programs

I am involved in medical education. I am a residency director in emergency medicine. I have been very interested in ipod developing video podcasting capability. My program puts on 5 hours of education conferences on a weekly basis. There are thousands of these in the country. It would be wonderful to “podcast” different conferences so that medical students and residents who missed a conference could hear and watch the PowerPoint slides on their ipod. There would be a tremendous market for this. There are hundreds of thousands residents and medical students who would benefit. If anyone has any contacts at Apple that I could talk to about this, I would love to do so!

Here’s some speculation by Cringley on how Apple might be dealing with the display problem for the iPOD (http://www.pbs.org/cringely/pulpit/pulpit20050714.html) He’s suggesting a “Retinal Scan Display” - basically a pair of glasses that projects the image (at HD) straight onto the retina. Apparently there has been quite a bit of patent activity with the RSD technology….and man, that sounds oh so cool.
