Comment spammers
Why don’t we work together to write scripts that STOP comment spammers or make their lives harder. Some comment spammers are well known and sell their spamming scripts for $$. We can stop at least them.

Of course this post got comment spammed. Luckily Wordpress (sing my blacklist) keeps pretty much ALL spam out for me to approve or delete. It’s a good system - works for me so far.

Here’s what I’m thinking. Centralized blacklists of URL’s might be difficult (false positives!), but centralized info on known offender scripts, coupled with scripts to counter them, should be possible. Who starts the wiki that lists details on characteristics of known offender scripts? Or would that make it too easy for them to evade our measures?
