Help: I am moving my
Help: I am moving my MT blog to a different server. I uploaded all the files to the new server, including the DB files (I wasn’t using mysql).
Turns out my new server doesn’t have DB_File installed, so I’ll have to use mysql. How can I get the data from my old MT installation (which is in a DB database) into a mysql database? All tips are welcome!

The upgrade package of MT comes with a file to transfer the data from DB to mysql. However, a new problem arises. To connect to mysql on my new server, I have to use localhost:localdomain. MT doesn’t seem to do that: I get Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock’
Arg.

Peter, Do I know you?
Have you ever been to St Louis?
If yes, hit me up on ICQ: 136547585.
If not - sorry you just remind me of someone.
regards,
Chris

I added your site to my bookmarks. I’ve got this growing list I’ll actually be coming back to. :) Yeah, other than the ones we all ignore. For now though I have to go back to work. No rest for the weary!
