VerizonWireless

My god, Verizon Wireless really sucks. I’m a pretty advanced and motivated power user, and I could not set it up to take my money automatically. Couldn’t do it. It gave me fairly stupid errors that some simple testing could have easily solved and just doesn’t like me.

Pay me money Verizon and I’ll fix it for you. I don’t like them as a company. If they hadn’t so effectively locked me in, I’d go somewhere else immediately.

Yeah, they really do, don’t they? I haven’t tried to set it up to take my money automatically but I’ve encountered error upon error when using their website. It’s really horrible. Sometime I realized about their “View Your Recent Usage” feature: the number for off-peak minutes is actually the number of minutes you’ve used over your allotted off-peak minutes, not your actual usage. I was wondering why the number never changed until late in the month, and when I finally received my bill, it was pretty clear. The best part of it was that when I told the website techies this, they had absolutely no clue it worked that way. However, the web support person that I spoke to and the way she handled the situation impressed me. We had three-way calls with both customer service and the web technical staff so that I could explain my problem.

  2. PeterV Says:

I finally gave up after two more tries, and tried to call tech support. I ended up on the uatomatic phone paying system, and lo and behold: paying my bill took four minutes. Four! I had spent over an hour trying to use the online system. Something is fishy when a phone interface is that much more efficient that a web interface.

  3. Anonymous Says:

Could not log on every time I tried. I gave up also.

  4. Mari Vaughan Says:

I received a letter telling me to login at the following address in order to pay my bill on line. It does not exist. VZServesm@https://bill.verizonwireless.com.

  5. Nancy Wilcox Says:

I am also displeased and very angry. After taking all of the time to register and then to receive a message stating that you have to wait until the next billing period was bad enough, but then after receiving a letter via mail and giving you the website…to find out that it doesn’t exist???? What is going on???? I have never seen anything like it…and to make matters “EVEN” worse…I receive numerous E-mails weeks prior to my due date reminding me to pay on-line “NOW”….
What is going on???? Please take a good look at your personnel and maybe, just maybe you need to hire someone who knows what they are doing.

  6. mary Cota Says:

I believe that the wireless customer has the right to know how many minutes they have used during the month. I will only deal with a company who has good customer service (not a touch tone options message instead of real people). I think that the airtime providers need some looking into by fair business practice. Sometimes I think that they design the system so that you run over your plan time, then they charge excessivly for additional minutes. Really what is the difference between the 300th minute and the 301st minute?
Remember Blockbuster who changed alot of their policies after the public complaints were looked at more closely.

  7. Victor Says:

yeah, their coverage is lousy. In the NYC area, Sprint is pretty good.

  8. EDWARD SEVERLAN Says:

I HAVE SERVICE WITH SPRINT @VERIZON,MY COMPLAINT IS UNLIKE SPRINT’S WEB PAGE,WHERE IT PROMPTS YOU FOR YOUR PHONE NUMBER,AND PASSWORD,AND THEN TAKES YOU TO YOUR BILL. VERIZON ASKS ME FOR MY ZIP CODE, AND TAKES ME NO WHERE.

  9. wil Says:

they do suck i stop using there website they never upday. when i pay by phone…i cant wait till my contract ends…

  10. Meri Byers Says:

It’s the most ridiculous site I’ve ever seen. I’m fairly competant - but this site stuns me. It asks for an account number and password - but doesn’t accept what I enter. Can’t get past it. So it asks for my name and address and a zillion other questions - and then what? Nothing.

And WHY do I want to go online? Because they are charging me DOUBLE what I agreed to pay (no my minute useage is NOT over) - they took a 2nd phone off the account (which took about 3 months and 3 hours on the phone arguing with them).

I’ve NEVER been this dissatisfied with any company - but the minute my contract is up with them - I’m gone.

Saying they suck is giving them too much credit

  11. Valerie Alexander Says:

When did American change…in Verizon’s case, the customer is NEVER right. I have spent hours on the phone trying to clear up MY OVERAGE usage of minutes. They double dip and are misleading. Free nights and weekends are not free if you own more than one phone. They purposly set up calling plans that they know will have you go over. I am going to fight and call them until I get out of this contract. They are being sued in NY and it should follow all over the country. This is the biggest scam of all cell phone providers.

  12. Vonda Golden Says:

Verizon is the worst cellphone company I know. I can not even use the phone in my home. I have to go outside to use it. The commerical has the nerve to say” CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW. I can’t even hear in my own home, but on T.V. the man in from country to country hearing clearly. YA RIGHT.
My bill for two months was over $700. COME ON VERIZON!!!!!!
As soon as my contract is up I will be going to another company. I hate I got into this VERIZON WIRELESS NIGHTMARE

  13. Moses Golden Says:

I was looking for a cellphone that would be good for my wife since she is on the road a lot, plus I was looking for a good deal. Verizon was my first choice and my worst choice.
I have made mistakes in my life and then I go and buy a cellphone from these rip offs.
When the contract ends so does VERIZON WIRELESS!!
What is the problem with that company? BAD CHOICE!

  14. Tony Ramos Says:

I am totally with everyone here. This is the worst cellular company I have ever had and I have had quite a few. I heard great things and was promised great service. And it stinks. I am also waitingbto get out of this contract as soon as I can.

  15. Jude Says:

It sounds like you losers are suffering from USER ERROR, Verizon has the best service in Chicago over Sprint Cellone ATT Voicestream Nextel. Oh yeah it’s a wireless phone RF radio tranmisson hello it’s not going to work every where.

  16. alberta corigliano Says:

this really sucks. cannot logon. letter that i received telling how to access is easy. I DON’T THINK SO

  17. MaryABellamy Says:

I am very very stressed with Verizon wireless. I have had nothing but problems with billing ever since I got this service. Heaven help anyone that gets the internet service. The employees that sell the product and the internet are NOT trained. I almost had a heart attack, my last bill was over $1700, they have it down to a little over $1400, now I am waiting for a call back from a manager. I had ATT service for 5 years, am I ever sorry I changed to Veriszon

  18. RL KING Says:

I signed up for free long distance, no roaming fees. I just got a bill for $500 in roaming fees last month and can get no one at Verizon who has the capacity to deal with it. Any one else out there have this happen? How about a class action law suite if it is a pattern of consumer fraud?

  19. debbie Says:

Can you hear me now? I think not because every month we get our bill it is WRONG. Roaming charges when we do not have roaming, extra added on minutes, it is crazy! I also can’t wait for my contract to be up. Every time I call to “FIX” my bill they say we have not talked to anyone??? Funny we just make up those names of the people we have talked to. Seems to me as if they are spending a lot of their money on commercials and not customer service!!

  20. debbie Says:

By the way, you DON’T want them to take automatic payments, once you do that it is like pulling teeth to get it to stop. We had to put a stop payment on our account and pay 30.00 to do that. It is NOT customer friendly to have automatic payments

  21. Rosemarie Jackson Says:

Last time I payed my Verizon, it was quite simple I’ve been on the computor for one half-hour and still cannot connect in order to pay my bill…………..PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL EASY PAYMENT PLAN I have been with the Verizon wireless (through the other names before it was Verizon) for 10 years and always have been a satisfied customer….until now

  22. Donna Says:

Guess we’re all suckers. Everytime you change a tiny thing about your plan, they lock you into another 2 years. Well, I won’t touch anything new because in 3 months, they’re history. Billing is never right and they bill for minutes that are not over the plan. I am sending an email to all my friends to avoid Verizonwireless and for them to pass it on… Maybe that will give the consumer the last word.

  23. debbie Says:

well I have a good one my phone does not work for long distance anymore so we tried to get them to see if they would give us a phone that will but they wouldn’t. They told us that the phone we have they are no longer given them out. So they wanted us to buy a new phone and then that means a new contract with them and I said no way. I have one more yr left with them and they are gone. To top it all off they want to buy a new phone and then void the old contract with them so that leaves me paying for two phones. I think Not. I have never had such worse luck with a wireless phone since I have owned one for 9 yrs. I think the company is a big rip off and they think people are dumb enough to fall for their stuff. I am one consumer that will be gone after next yr. What makes me so made is that I can’t use my phone outside my area like I should be able to do but they won’t do anything about it. They just say get another phone. Yeah like I will they going to pay for it. So I pay for a phone that isn’t any good to me but around where I live. I know I will be going back to alltel when my contract is up. Now my husband has alltel and doesn’t have any problem. He can upgrade his contract without starting a new one like verizon does to us. I see how they make their money ripping people off like they do. It’s ashame we pay good money for them to do this to us. Well it’s their lost when we all go some place else for a wireless phone. I had a hard time getting into the site too it won’t let you in or even register a new a count. they are a pretty useless company.

I have never dealt with a company as screwed up as
Verizon. Their customer service sucks with a capitol
    S. They are doing away with 24hr. customer service and going to 6am to 11pm. They will have to insult their customer’s(victim’s)much faster now to get around to everyone so that mean’s you won’t have to wait on hold as long.

  26. Marc Says:

I too have just run through the Verizon never ending contract scam. They tell you that you can change your rate plan any time, but fail to tell you that they then take the liberty of adding a year or two to your contract. The customer service supervisor tells me that they only do that with promtional rates. Problem is, EVERY rate now is a promotional rate, and they fail to tell you that! By the time I got done talking to the 4th person and had been given 3 different contract end dates I cancelled 3 phones and will fight to the end before they get an early cancellation fee from me, unless, of course, they could produce the one thing I asked for … a signed contract extending my trermination date.

  27. Bill Webster Says:

I thought I would throw in my 2 cents about what I believe is the shittiest company I have ever done business with.
I got a cell phone with Verizon Wireless (VZW) and then I changed my phone number. The VZW rep. told me I could do this without any problems or charge. What actually happened though was the person that was supposed to change my number just opened a new account for me so I was being billed twice. After several calls to Verizon, I got this cleared up and I thought it was all gone. A couple of months later, I received a note from a collection agency (Alliance One). It turned out to be for the first account I had with VZW. I quickly found that the people I would spend hours speaking with at the collection agency were mindless drones that were really only interested in taking my money so they could close the account. They kept telling me I would need to contact VZW to get the problem resolved. Of course, VZW told me it was out of their hands and that I would need to contact Alliance One. Well, I finally talked to some people that lead me to believe this would be resolved. I wasn’t billed any more and the delinquent account on my credit report was changed from ‘CHARGE-OFF’ to ‘CLOSED’ so I thought it was finally resolved. Imagine my joy and surprise when I received a letter from another collection agency (ERSolutions) about 5 months later for the same bill. Now I’m going through it all again and I have a new deliquent account on my credit report.

  28. Bill Webster Says:

    Why I despise Verizon Wireless…

I signed up for a cell phone with Verizon Wireless(VZW) and shortly after needed to change my phone number. I was told by VZW that I would not be charged for changing my phone number but that I would need to go to a VZW store to do this. The person at the VZW store opened a new account for me instead of just changing my phone number. So I then started receiving two phone bills from VZW. I called VZW and explained the situation and finally got someone that could help me. They told me they were going to close the old account and to just ignore that bill. After that, I stopped receiving the extra bill from VZW so I thought every thing was taken care of. Then a couple months later, I received a collections notice from Alliance One. After investigating this, I found that it was for the previous account with VZW which was supposed to have been closed. I went back and forth between Alliance One and VZW for a while, bascically being told by each company that they could not help me and I would need to contact the other company to get it resolved. I finally spoke with Camilla at Alliance One (who I was told was an upper level supervisor) and she was going to close it out. I also spoke with someone at VZW that said they didn’t see why I was being charged for this and they would send it to another department that would close the account. Shortly before this time, I entered a dispute with Equifax because it didn’t seem as if I was getting anywhere with VZW or Alliance One. I later received an updated copy of my credit report that showed the deliquent account as being CLOSED instead of in CHARGE-OFF status. So once again I thought this whole problem had finally been resolved. But then on Dec. 20th I received a collections notice from ER Solutions for the same thing. I’ve tried calling both ER Solutions and VZW to get this resolved but I have so far been met with the same reluctance as I was when it was VZW and Alliance One. VZW has told me that there is nothing they can do to the account once it has been sold to a collection agency and what probably happened was that Alliance One didn’t correctly close the account so it ended up going to another collection agency. ER Solutions tells me that they have no information about the account other than the balance and that I must contact VZW to get details of the account. I also tried contacting Alliance One to see what they actually did and the person there told me that the account was closed but since it was closed he can’t really look at any of the details.

I find this entire situation very frustrating. I don’t understand why I should be wasting so much of my time on this when it was VZW that made the error. I also don’t believe any of these companies when they tell me they can’t look at the history or details of the account because it has been closed or sent to another company. I work in Information Technology and that just simply isn’t they way any good business works. I feel as if the representatives I am speaking with are all lying because I can’t believe they wouldn’t have history or details for this type of thing. They must have some way to back up their claims. It appears to me that they work under the assumption that if they make things difficult enough for the consumer, that the conusmer will just pay whatever they ask to avoid being harassed.

  29. g.h. & n.s.taylor Says:

February of 2002 my wife’s father died. He had Verizon…we kept his line current until June,(becuse of dealing with his home etc in Richmond,Va.) when we told the company to end billing due to death, recieved a condolence letter, plus a sheet to sign to end the billing. Billing ceased for about three months, then on they came again. After many calls we again filled out THE SHEET sent to us with the same condolence letter. Nothing! The bills kept coming. More calls…and finally a “we?I will ensure you are disconnected…you should recieve your final statement within 10 days.” Statement for what? That was mid-November. Yesterday, December 23, another bill!.
I wonder if any of you guys have an address of the company’s CEO, or names of someone higher up the pecking order than the useless customer service department. Is their main office at the Silver Springs, Maryland address? Any advice as how to shout “can you hear me now” into some big- fat-hairy-deal person with power?

  30. Bob Bivona Says:

Every time I complained about droppped calls and a lost digital signal the problem got worse. It was clear harrassment!! They took a $125 deposit from me and are trying to force me to give up on their service in the middle of my contract and forfeit my deposit!!

  33. David Henderson Says:

I have been using there pay bill on-line site for over a year and now all of a sudden I have to jump thought hoop to even get to the billing site. I was going to https://bill.verizonwireless.com/
and now that site takes you to there home page so you have to go thoght that mess. I have an older phone Motorola MicroTAC 650. Yes it is analog but it will get out when no other phone will. I have had problem after problem here latey with getting call. I thank they are doing it trying to make me buy one of the new phones. If I do buy a new phone I will get the phone and service some where else. The problem is that this company has got too big for there own good. They forgot where they came from.

  34. Mary B. Says:

I just received my recent Verizon Wireless bill and noticed they have stopped listing your itemized calls. If you want it with your invoice, you have to pay an extra $1.99 per month? What kind of nonsense is that? Come August 2003, when my contract ends, I am terminating the contract. What a load of BS!

  36. Does it matter Says:

Clearly most of you are idiots. That became apparent after reading the first few comments. Secondly, if your bill is high like the idiots above then clearly you are exceeding the plan YOU CHOSE… Basically here is what most of you Moronic imbuciles are saying:

You buy cable service… its basic cable you order pay per view and suddenly are charged for it… you are shocked (probably because you are an idiot) and complain about it.

ANy dumbass knows that if you go over your allotted minutes you will be charged.

ALso all the idiots who claim slanderous comments such as their network is bullshit…

Here is some proof to look into. Here is a list of independent companies that ranked Verizon #1 and not just by a little by literally 20 points out of 100 possible than second place:
    The Wall Street Journal
    COnsumer Reports
    JD Powers
    CNET
    CTIA (Cellular Technology Industry Association)
    NBC
    CBS
    ABC

I can go on.. but I doubt any of you idiots could comprehend since you are in the 1% of the users who just dont have the brain to understand.

Yes I work for Verizon, I am treated like crap by you the asshole consumer and by the company I work for. I promise you this, my last day, which will be soon, will have customers like you above getting the shit kicked out of them. We are just doing a job, based on policies set by executives in New Jersey.

  37. Maggie Says:

Are you kidding me? ATT had screwed me over since they sold me the wrong plan that was different than what I asked for and then tried to bill me for the roaming. After spending 2 hours on the phone to get the bill credited, they apparently lost that info in some department and then I found it two years later when I called to disconnect my current service? Now I can’t get anyone at ATT to return my letters and they have sent the bill to collections. I think that each major metropolitan area has its own management center and they simply didn’t forward the information (I had just moved). Talk about unorganized, unethical and illegal…

  38. No one of consequence Says:

I have to say I completely agree with “Does it Matter” … I have been a customer of Verizon Wireless for the last 2 years and have never had a problem with my billing. I track my minutes using the system provided … #646 and track my balance as well. Customers are actually held in high regard with Verizon Wireless, more so than any other company I have ever been with. Sprint is horrid, not only in the rudeness of the customer service people, but the service area is very small and any interference gives dropped calls. I also have dealt with nextel and you can’t hold a conversation to save your life unless you want the rest of the world to hear your walkie-talkie conversation, and if someone is pissing you off, you cant respond until they let go of their stupid button… you cant have a normal conversation cause the service doesnt work! As far as the others, I have not had experiences there, but I know that all of you will be sorely disappointed no matter where you go because you want it like a McDonalds commercial, “have it your way”… well… NO cellular company will cater to the every whim of it’s mindless customers… it caters to providing excellent customer service and doing what can be done to satisfy the customer… rudeness and being an asshole doesn’t get you anywhere. I was given a free phone because I was willing to settle for something a little less than the “best” phone when I had problems with mine and the representative worked with me. She was very pleasant and kind and really assisted me with my problem. I have NEVER had a dropped call and have NEVER gone over my minutes - because I pay attention… you all sound like idiots to me who shouldn’t have cellular service if you can’t keep track of what is going on. I’m sure some of you have had legit complaints - like the guy who was told to go to the store to change a number - that’s ridiculous - Verizon can change your mobile number over the phone as long as you have your cell phone with you to reprogram. That experience I’m sure was a bad one - but the rest of you with petty complaints - don’t you have anything better to do with your life than bitch and moan = get yourself straightened out and you won’t have to blame Verizon wireless for your own stupidity.

That’s all I have to say. I have said my peace.

  39. Nolan O'Briant Says:

I have had a lot of the same experiences as in the letters I just read. It took me 3 months to be able to pay my bill on-line. I have six letters in my password but they wanted me to use eight ???????, then all of a sudden I did not know my user name. Nothing I did was right, called them on the phone and got the run around.
Today I accidently was able to get in the right place and paid my bill. After I signed out, I retried to make the same trip and got sent somewhere else. I didn’t want to make second payment anyway.
I would like to pay the opt out fine and switch to somewhere better, but who?
I like to pay AT&T or Qwest because my password is my phone number, so easy.
    Nolan

  40. anna Says:

I have to agree with all of you… All I wanted to do is get some past statements of my phone usage. This website is very hard to get around and NOT user friendly.

  41. ORLANDO Says:

This company doesn’t have an ounce goodfaith. You could a customer of theirs forever not get on break on shortening your agreement without paying $175 DOLLARS!!!! PER PHONE. That’s right your teenager goes crazy using it, and you want to cancel an extra line–forget it pal!!! Pay $175!
I only had an extra month one of the lines and 3 months on the other, no one will negotiate: pay $350. And one phone doesn’t work and refuse to replace it because it means ONE MORE YEAR with the lice!!!!!

I won’t buy anything from VERIZON. They won’t fool me when they change names after Chpt11 like many of these corporations due.

Don’t change a contract with them because they will renew your contract from that day for another year!

Any change and you add a year to your agreement and, by the way, be careful with mobile to mobile minutes.

Verizon doesn’t account for the split in minutes used in off-peak, weekend or nights when you call for your minutes. They claim in that it can’t be done in today’s modern world. They must think we’re idiots!!!! Make a stock trade, cash a check move money around and see how quick a bank account for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  42. johnny j Says:

  44. Scott Says:

Unbelievable bad service from Verison. We received a call saying we were late on payment. We had sent the payment in but we paid the bill over the phone with a card to make sure everything was ok. The service is turned off four days later. Turns out they found my payment was applied to a old account. They give you new account numbers when you upgrade and don’t remove the old account numbers. They can not track your phone payments by the confirmation code they give you either. It’s lost and I hve to go to the credit card company to see if they applied it to something. Rude and unbelievable organzation.

If there is anyone out there who has had to deal with National Enterprise Systems Cosource Dept. on behalf of Verizon Wireless and feels they were treated unfairly or down-right lied to; Please file a complaint with Attorney General Jim Petro at (614)466-4320 or on their web-site at AG.state.oh.us.

    Dear Fellow NES Comiserates,

Had an appalling experience with Nthe folks at National Enterprise Systems this evening. Informed them that I wished them to litigate my (as to have a chance to present my case) and to remove my WORK number from their call list. Was told by employee Jeff Hanson that (although I pointed out their federal and state obligation to do so) that they wouldn’t. Was then hung up on by Terry Landers (she had called me originally ext. 1756) when I attempted to complain. Check out their website for all sorts of useful info including their president’s (Ernest R. Pollack) company philosophy. The telephone directory lists his home information as:

    17060 Creighton
    AUBURN, OH 44255

    440-543-1387

Direct numbers for NES (their clients, that is) are as follows:

If your cell phone service is spotty and dropping, Verizone’s trademark, it’s a breach of contract right? Didn’t they state somewhere in that sea of legalise that they agreed to provide service.

Any of you wonderful ambulance chasing attorneys care to weigh in?

  53. Janet Colbert Says:

Was anyone else promised a FREE replacement phone of equal value to the one purchased every two years? Not the $100 rebate. The salesperson clearly said a replacement of equal value to the $200 phone I bought.

  54. Aaron Says:

Anyone else had to deal with ER solutions? My account was turned over for collection by verizon after I fulfilled my contract. They screwed up my bill so bad it forced me to find another provider. I did however hold up my end of the contract. Er Solutions said that I could pay the amount of $199.53 for early termination, and then dispute it within 90 days. Not only is this bullshit, it is illegal. You do not have to pay untl judgement is rendered by a court that has jurrisdiction. I told these assholes to go F@#% themselves and I suggest anyone else with this problem does the same. I found some interesting class action lawsuits agains verizon. Look under class action+verizon
Good luck and dont let the bastards get you down.

WELL……YES..VERIZON DOES SUCK. BELIEVE IT OR NOT THEY ARE A TAD BIT BETTER THAN NEXTEL THOUGH IF THAT SAYS ANYTHING TO YOU ABOUT MY CELL PHONE NIGHTMARES WITH TWO BIG CELL PHONE COMPANIES. I CAN’T BEGIN TO TELL YOU OF THE MONEY, TIME, TOLERANCE I’VE LOST WITH BOTH THOSE F–KING COMPANIES. BUT HAVEN’T YOU NOTICED THOUGH A CHANGE EVERYWHERE IN AMERICA, NO ONE REALLY CARES ABOUT MUCH… EVERY COMPANY, CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHAT’S THAT??????? OH YEAH……I REMEMBER NOW! IT’S A THING OF THE PAST? WE DON’T GET WHAT WE PAY FOR THAT’S 4 SURE. AND I THINK VERIZON HAS THE HIGHEST TAX …30% OF THE BILL IS WHAT I FIGURED. AND THEIR WEB SITE? NO HELP, JUST ANOTHER TIME WASTER. AND ABOUT THE PHONES THEMSELVES!
I HAVE GONE THROUGH 2 MOTOROLA PHONES IN 7 WEEKS. THE V710. I PAID FULL RETAIL FOR IT AND THE FIRST ONE WAS OVER POWERED BY SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME THAT’S FOR SURE. REALLY, I’M SERIOUS. IT WOULD FREEZE UP, TURN OFF A SECOND TIME AFTER (30 SECONDS AFTER I SHUT IT DOWN AND IT HAD SHUT OFF) I HAD SUCCESSFULLY TURNED IT OFF……IT WOULD GO OFF AGAIN. THEN ONE DAY IT JUST FROZE N THEN NOTHING. I WAS ON MY WAY TO LAS VEGAS AT THE TIME AND MISSED MY PLANE DUE TO STANDING AT VERIZON’S COUNTER GETTING A NEW PHONE. LOST ALL MY CONTACTS TOO WHICH HURT ME IN MY WALLET TOO. THE SECOND MOTOROLA V710 I GOT REALLY DIDN’T HOLD UP AT ALL. 2 WEEKS AND I’M STILL HERE WITH IT WAITING FOR A SHIPMENT OF PHONES NEXT WEEK. MY DISPLAY IS OUT. BUT IT FREEZES UP TOO LIKE THE OTHER DID. YOU THINK VERIZON WILL CREDIT ME FOR THIS FRUSTRATION AND LOST TIME AND MONEY FROM NOT HAVING A PHONE WITH MY BUSINESS? THEY WON’T BUT I’LL TRY.
THANKS, KYM C OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA….. GOOD LUCK 2 US ALL.

  60. Mike Says:

What on gods green earth can you possibly do to get your cell phone bill to $1700? Do you even go online to look at your bill? Do you make your payments on time? Do you know EXACTLY what plan you have? Do you manage your account? Or do you just let your own account spiral out of control then look for someone else to blame? Dont blame the company for your own irresponsbility. I got a bill from Cingular that was 172 pages long, and the charge was $53. Its called account management…try it sometime, instead of just blaming everyone else but yourself.

My husbands ohone broke,so in order to get a new one without spending alot of money he had to renew his contract with verizon. So he lowered his minutes. My contract was suppose to be up in November, wich was still on the old contract. Now they are saying that because he lower the minutes it started my contract over. Now I have to wait 2 more years to go to anther company unless i pay 175.00 I don’t think that is right. Because no one told us that would happen. We have had nothing but problems. with them since day one. Iam so fed up, i think peopl need to get together and sue the hell out of them. For all the problems thaey have caused people.

I used to be with verizon wireless 4 years ago.
I got my first bill it was high that’s usual though.
As time went on I had no signal or reception with my phone.
I would never go back to them for service ever again.
They say their the best company around no their not AT&T is.
I don’t reccommend them to anyone.

  65. bbithead Says:

Simply, VERIZON DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!
If your are a VZ customer and have not fiugred that out yet, understand that this is the way it is. I have FIOS for about 1.5 years now in North New jersey covering Phone, TV, Web. Also have VZ wireless for many years. The good is that I have had very good service from all of these, and that the customer service people are extremely nice. The bad is everything else: Billing=SUX, the 57 MINUTE WAIT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE=SUX³, the MANUAL RESET TO THE BATTERY BACKUP ANYTIME A POWER OUTAGE=SUX, not putting the OVERAGE MINUTES on the RIGHT CELL PHONES=SUX(and Stupid!). I must be stupid, too, for hanging in with VZ/VZW hoping things will get better. ~ßß~

  66. jane Says:

verizon fucking sucks. i hate them so much. i don’t care what facet of the company we’re talking about, it all sucks. but my big beef with them is when i called in, trying to fix a problem, but they magically created more problems and after 10+ hours, 12+ agents, a DSL cancellation (aka no internet access), different and inaccurate information every call, and 2 dropped calls later one agent was ignorant enough to be condescending towards me about the whole matter. WTF!? our office was defunct for a week because of the whole matter, the entire fiasco started because lines were installed improperly, no one could give me a straight answer about anything that was going on and they had been sending emails to us at a non-existent email address. but NO ONE offered to comp us on ANYTHING. not for the first, second, third…or ANY of the problems that were created due to the incompetency, poor communication, and anti-quality service of verizon. instead of the voice recording disclaimer that says your call will be recorded for quality reassurance, they need to change that to a disclaimer warning customers that interactions with verizon customer service may induce feelings of nausea, homocide, suicide, stress and a host of other absurd and hostile emotions that are indescribably extreme.
here is a conglomeration of words expressing my experience with verizon.
the agents were incompetent, confused, self-righteous, indifferent, unsympathetic, annoyed…
the results were few, problematic, nonexistent, insufficient…
and a whole slew of other expressions that make me think of verizon: FUCK!, are you fucking serious, WTF, please-don’t transfer me again, i’m not getting off the phone with you until this is fixed, so this is the 4th person i’ve talked to today…, *crying*, *feeling helpless*, OMGGG, pleeeeeeeeeeeease just FIX IT, but i made my payment last week…why did you turn my internet off, why didn’t anyone tell me this before, why did they say (insert what previous agent said) if you say (insert what current agent is saying)…
the disclaimer also needs to note that these effects could last anywhere from 2 hours to 5+ weeks. and that towards the end of the said time frame, the most pervasive feelings will be pure rage mixed with helplessness and a loss of words either due to the fact that you have explained your situation so many times you are unsure if you can possibly repeat it again or that your rage and helplessness are so pure that they are absolutely inexplicable.

spread the shit! fertilize the hate for verizon!
