drummer comments on Medellin.Medellin. First time

right on I went down 4 times last year. the first time, I stayed at a quality hotel...Poblado Plaza. the taxi drivers allowed to haul away the customers of the better hotels are screened and aknowledged by the hotel first. I was lucky to find a good driver in the couple of days of arrivel. I asked how much hire him by the day and quickly contracted him for driver/tour guide/confidant and soon to be,,,,friend. I later learned Medellin has a program to teach taxi drivers tourist points and places to avoid. if you nothing else....get a telephone # from the hotel or your taxi driver (used by the hotel) to call when you need transport. your overall experience will be much better!!

drummer comments on State of Emergency

ARIZONA I live in Arizona. The political pressures applied to the governor here is the ONLY reason she followed New Mexico in the state of emergency. She has in fact stalled many initiatives to curb the flow of illegal immigration. It is said at this moment, 50% of all border crossings are into Arizona.
We have a red hot construction boom....the hottest housing market in the world, and tourism is increasing many times over. These are the major industries using immigrant labor, to consider raiding a jobsite for inspection of papers would be job termination.
A couple of months ago, an American army sargent detained 7 mexican nationals, and called Border Patrol to assist identification. He was arrested and later released without charges....5 days later. Documentation (forged) costs between $100.00 and $300.00 that will surpass a speeding ticket. Also the going rate for a non-hispanic to be escorted to the American border by the mexican army is $50,000. This is according to a border patrol agent I spoke with last week. During the month the minutemen were here, the mexican army transported many mexicans to other corrodors to cross to prevent interaction with the minutemen. It is a good time to be in the Mexican Army.
Of course, if a terrorist incident occurs in Phoenix, there is a possibility some of the 600,000 illegals here will be affected.

drummer comments on Nigerian Letters

for real The nigerian connections are for real.....I swear. they handle millions of dollars every year...there have even been Americans go to Nigeria to collect the money!!!!!
unfortunately...they are seeking bank account numbers to make international withdrawels from your account. Last year, several Americans went there to recoup their money. Several came back in body bags....the FBI has been investigating the scams for a year or so.....but some Nigerian Government officials are involved,,,,making progress all but impossible....but then again....you may be the first.....and if you end up with an empty sack....you can feel good about the african aid you assisted!!

drummer comments on What's your favorite phone card to call Colombia with?

8 ball In Arizona, most phone cards are directed to mexico, but to call another country is time on steroids. The one with an 8-ball pictured on it is good for 91 minutes for 5 dollars...a little less for cellular. Mexican cards will go for 15 minutes or so.......

drummer comments on You Can't meet a nice girl in a Bar?

Where is she? Of course, there are those internet connections....where you cannot see the person you are corresponding with. My first question would be.....do you come here often?

drummer comments on I MIGHT HAVE SCREWED UP

Engaged We are "compromiso"...but will not marry until she becomes settled here. There is no question on the father, but I have concerns about officials opinions to see her in her condition.
