Luggage form Medellín to Europe

My wife and I are flying to Medellín from Germany in February 2008 using Air France via Paris. On the way back we would like to take some extra luggage with us to Europe. Air France are charging 30 € for each kilo more than the free 20 kg per person that is included in the fare. Can anybody give me an advice about the best way to take about 30 kg of stuff (shoes, clothes, decoration for the house) from Medellín to Europe for less than 30 Euros a Kilo? ...

Has anybody taken a cat or a dog to Colombia? What are the requirements? Do they keep the animals in quarantine or is a health certificate from a veterinarian sufficient?
