I plan to make a trip to Capurgana. I will take the night-bus from Medellin to Turbo (7 hrs) and from there in the ship (3 hrs). Is it safe? I asked the Embassy and they told me it is not safe. I plan going to Colombia in June. I'm 23 and I will travel alone. I am really afraid. It seams to me Colombia is a mafia controlled country. I read "when the police searches for drugs in your luggage, make sure that there is an independent witness. A person who gets arrested for possession of drugs, has to assume high penalties.
