Does anybody know if there are High School Equivalency programs for adults in Colombia? Something like the US GED program. Where can I get more information on this? Thanks
Where can I get a map with all the bus routes in Medellin?
Thanks in advance.
I'm trying to help a friend in Medellin. Her mother's common law husband was murdered last week and they are trying to figure out what to do now. Her mother lives in Segovia along with 4 children. The man was the primary provider but had no money saved up. Now that he is gone, the mother is worried about how they will survive.
Does anybody know if the Colombian goverment has any support services for families/children of a deceased parent? These kids range in age from 2-11 y.o ...
I've read several threads discussing how to get your money into Colombia to buy property. Using ATMs, smuggling money in the luggage,... Seems pretty complicated.
Why can't you just bring a Cashier's Check (INTL) from a major bank (Citibank). Why wouldn't this work? What am I missing?
Would the bank try and tax you on it?
Thanks.

I have a few friends in Colombia and would like for them to just be able to call me w/o too much expense. Can I get a Colombia (Medellin) phone number via VOIP in the US?
I see that many people do this the other way, by setting up a US VOIP number in Colombia, but when you have more than 1 person wanting to call you (US). It would be better for me to have a Colombian Phone number here?
Has anybody done this? Who are the VOIP providers in Medellin?
