Bringing your Colombian wife to Korea

Does anybody have any experience bringing a wife to Korea or another country on a spouse/dependent visa?

I am Canadian. If I get a work visa in Korea, what is the process to get her a dependent visa? Do I have to get the work visa in Canada, then fly down to Colombia to apply at the Korean consulate for her visa?

If anybody has any experience with this I'd appreciate some advice.

How difficult is it to change jobs and work visas once you already have a work visa? For example, suppose someone has a work visa and contract with a certain biligual school in Chia that operates like a Nazi prison camp, and was looking for something a little more relaxed, like a language institute.
