crispeta comments on Any colombians in the NW of the US? Seattle My wife is from Medellin and I have been going to Colombia for the past five years. We have met a few Colombians here in the Seattle area. There is a Colombian restrante in Renton called Mexicali. They serve the best Colombian food in the Seattle area. If anybody in the area wants to hang out sometime let me know. I work at the FedEx in Seattle, not too long ago there was a tour of Latin American businees people and there was four people form Medellin. Currently I am study at Seattle Central Community College.

crispeta comments on Bad news- West Caribbean AA is safer than Avianca AA has a younger fleet than Aviaca, and a better saftey record.Aviaca buys and leases used airplanes, AA does not. Did you forget about the Aviaca flight that crased because it ran out of fuel? The last AA flight that crased was a Airbus model, failure of the vertical stabilizer was the problem, not faulty maintanence.I used to work at Boeing in Everett Washington, which is outside of Seattle, and I never saw a new Avianca plane rolling out of the factory, but I did see many brand new AA 777 and 767 aircraft. AA is the USA's largest airline so they have many more flights and aircraft compaired to AVIANCA, which is also a monopoly because they were getting the asses kicked by ACES!

crispeta comments on MEDELLIN ARTICLE Again! I posted the fist comments about the feature in N&G, and I thought it was about the way Medellin was and the way Medellin has been changing, also I had a long discussion with my wife , who is from Medellin, about the artical. Many negative comments were posted about N&G being gringo prapagada , which is rubish or basura. One thing I thought that should have been added to the feature was the Christmas lights over Rio Medellin because the author was in Medellin for the first part of December.

|
crispeta comments on Niquia station I was there last december, and I thought it had changed so much from the last time I was there. Urban growth is taking place at a fast pace. There is a Exito and lots of new apatment blocs.

crispeta comments on More Modern, Nicer City: Medellin or Monterrey, Mexico Mexico is more gringonized Medellin is not as gringonized as Monterrey, and has more natural aspect of that Medellin is surrounded by green mountians, although more and more of those stupid high rise torres en el poblado are being built.

crispeta comments on Putting military on all the roads will not stop crime Happy to see the military I was just in Colombia during the month of december, and I went up to Sapsurro. This was the first time in 5 years of going to Colombia that I could see a diffrence with the security. It is easy for us Gringos and Europeones to critize Uribe and his policies, but to really understand what the Colombian people have gone through. I would rather see the military than the paramilitaries, but after the all of them disarm the next day they will be in the military. As long as there is a demand for speedballs of smack and coke the crime will be a part of the trade. Legalizing drugs will drop the price and the business of funding the FARC and ELN.

crispeta comments on Help with graduate project! Solar Panels I am also a International Business student who has been traveling to Colombia for the past 5 years, and had lived there for over six months. The thing about Colombia is that your product can be copied very easily. For example you can buy copiedX-Box and Playstaion 2 games for $2. You can rent first rate pirated movies on DVD. Over the holidays I was on the coast electicty is genrated by diesel genraters, so I think that solar pnels would be a good product to import. Importing into Colombia is difficult at times.

crispeta comments on Do people go hungry in Colombia? People go Hungry In Ohio I remember seeing long lines og people lining up at 5am in the morning at the local food bank. Ohio lost milliones of manufacutring jobs during the recent slump in the U.S economy. How odd because Ohio was the important electorial college vote for BUSH.

crispeta comments on Avianca Advisory Avoid Avianca Colombia once had a good airline that was Called ACES, but Los Jefes de Avianca where getting their butt kicked by ACES, so they decided to join the two airlines to help AVIANCA become profitable. This relationship lasted for a year until one day they said that ACES was bankrupt, so Aces stoped flying and Avianca was the only international airline in Colombia.

crispeta comments on Colombia´s bad food hygiene part 2 Food Where did you eat? You must have ate at one of those street venders during the fesival of flowers. Do you know that there is a myth that before the strat of the festival they round up all of the stray dogs in the city. Where do you think they get all their meat from?
