Pissed & Frustrated!

Well, the wife had her k-3 interview today... and I am pissed a& frustrated! Our papers were in order, she had pics of our wedding, etc. But, they turned her away because they wanted more proof of our relationship!

We have been communicating for 3 years prior to the wedding and emails, pics, etc didn't seem to be enough! She had honeymoon, reception & pics of my trip to Cali... plus emails dating back 3 yrs!

What more could they want? ...

Immigrant visa or spousal visa? Pros/Cons?!?!

I did a search on this website but, didnt get a definitive or clear answer? In your opinion, which is the better route to go? My wife hase her K-3 interview on 7/10 but, I see that her Immigrant petition (CR1 I think) was also just approved. So... she can do the K-3 interview in about 2 weeks or the Cr1 interview in probably 4?

I thought I read someplace that CR1 was better b/c you don't have to do an adjustment of status? Is that true? Why is that "better"?

Hotel in Bogota???

Can anyone suggest a hotel near the embassy? My wife is going for her interview on 7/10 and I'm looking for a place in proximity to the embassy. Thanks in advance!

Well, it has been a LONG journey but we are nearing the end... my wife has her Bogata interview on July 10th. Many thanks to the wonderful people who have given me assistance and advice in getting us this far.

We have all the items needed for her interview but, I did have a question as to a possible timeline.

I assume her trip to Bogota will be a 4 day affair. Upon completion of her interview, will she get the visa there or how many days after the interview will sh ...

Telephone Number To USCIS Natl Benefits Center?

Anyone have a number to a "real" person at the USCIS Center in Chicago or Missouri? I sent in my I-130, they cashed the check a month ago but I haven't heard a thing or received my NOA from them... the one toll free number I have is prompt crazy - and no real person ever answers. The number I have to Vermont is a person saying my I-129 is being processed but, nothing about the I-130 I sent to Missouri via Chicago!

I haven't seen my wife since November and am going crazy!

K3 Interview Question...

I'm hoping my spouse gets her interview soon... I sent in the I-129F to Chicago at the beginning of this month. It appears the Natl Benefits Center is now processing applications received on Jan 10, 2006.

According to www.visajourney.com, I need to prepare & send to my wife, the following...

1. A copy of the entire I-129f and I-130 package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one). ...

Spousal Visa ???

Ok, I know I jumped the gun a bit! UC told me that I sent a bunch of extra stuff to Vermont's USCIS Service Center when I sent in my I-130 for the wife & her son (I-485's, G-325A's, copies of birth certs, wedding certs, photos, passport copies & a check). I guess Vermont doesn't want to see all of that with the I-130's & I sure hope they "pass it on" to the power's that be.

I am now waiting to get my NOA (I-797) in the mail from Vermont's Service Center so I can send in the compl ...

Thanks Poor But Happy Family!

I wanted to express my sincere thanks to everyone here in this forum. I have gained a wealth of knowledge from most of the people here... even Elmo!!! My wedding to my Colombiana went smooooothly - and the resources you pointed me to were "right on" point.

The k3/k4 visa is our next journey and we are hoping the process can be as painless as possible - thanks again to the many folks here that are truly making a difference in the lives of others'.

Expected Timeline now???
