Costeño Esp. en Telecomunicaciones comments on Racism discussion at a COL university BY COL students

mmm i've lived my whole life in the northern region, i know cachacos, whites, blacks, morenos, trigueños, etc. In COLOMBIA, IT DOES NOT EXIST RACISM but there is regionalism instead. something else: the answer to the apparent racism against black people in colombia is that they are poooooooorr most of them. thats why MOST OF POOR PEOPLE IN COLOMBIA (no matter if they arent black) they dont go to the best universities, schools, hospitals, etc. another fact: you can call anyone in the street NEGRO = NIGGER and nothing happens because its not a derogatory word, it only describes a colour.

Costeño Esp. en Telecomunicaciones comments on Colombia or USA, where to retire?

In colombia the issue of insecurity is just alike the same in U.S. unless you do like some stupid foreigners that went to the jungle despite many warnings and got kidnapped. If u behave like all normal colombians do, it'll be pretty safe. One have to keep their eyes open like anywhere else. I live in Bquilla, know my city, gotta go to many places and i've never got robbed. Its just a question of being carefull

Costeño Esp. en Telecomunicaciones comments on Queens, New York, cachaco center of the universe

Sadly, people wanna leave Colombia and travel somewhere else because of lack of jobs, specially well paid jobs

Costeño Esp. en Telecomunicaciones comments on Machismo Costeño

And about machismo costeño theres somethin for true in this country as well: in every northern house theres a leading man; but in every cachaco house theres always a cachaco behind his womans character. That means its better to rule in your house than lettin your wife do it for you (cachocos).

Costeño Esp. en Telecomunicaciones comments on Machismo Costeño

By the way, it's not racism elmodefoque, it's regionalism.

Costeño Esp. en Telecomunicaciones comments on Machismo Costeño

Every colombian and foreigner that was in Colombia knows something for absolute truth: LAS COSTEÑAS Y LAS PAISAS SON MUCHO PERO MUCHO más lindas y mejores que las cachacas. Hey guys, you know that joke 'bout colombian women from different regions of the country?

Costeño Esp. en Telecomunicaciones comments on The making of a Colombian USA raised modefoque

Dispite the US, there's no racism in Colombia BUT regionalism.

Costeño Esp. en Telecomunicaciones comments on CACHACO, what is this??

Let me enlight some of u. The word corroncho (redneck) does NOT mean costeño NEITHER is a sinonim or anything to do with. It just happens that the most brilliant colombians ARE NOT generally cachacos then, as an act of stupid fanatic regionalism, they accuse everyone else not-born in cachacolandia to be corroncho bruto. It is easy to confirm that costeños and paisas represent in many cases the best of this country. Just google for triunfos costeños o paisas if any doubts.
