Well back here in "gringoland" i dont pull even close to 4 grand a month and i have 2 jobs and go to college so if i could throw 2 grand around that would be great. But 500 is more reasonable for a college kid. I just cant give some charity 500 dollars that i have never seen.I want to see where my money is going and if it is being spent well.If i were to just ship 2000 dollars over there how would i know that it would be used for the kids??? and dont call it gringoland dude its The United States of America to you... Back to the question so has anyone heard about "letsgovolunteer" are they any good??

I don't know to much about it but a really good one is called Berlitz its a worldwide program I'm sure you have heard about it but check them out online. I've heard that they don't respond to a lot of emails so calling them would be your best bet.

Its a somewhat large house and the upstairs is for the volunteer and no more than 2 people per room...I know 500 sounds a litte pricy but it looks like a good way to meet a lot of interesting people and practice my spanish...

Well seeing how the United States economy isnt doing to well and ford is really struggling...a ford plant would crate jobs but its the worst out of the big 3 auto makers in the states and kfc is expensive plus the empanadas on the street taste wayyy better and are alot cheaper...

oops sorry for the 3 responds! i was on pbh on my phone and hit enter to many times hahah, Sorry for wording it wrong they ask you pay 100 USD a week and in return they give you a place to live and meals around town. Everyday you have to work a few hours with young kids in the town playing futbal and go to the movies with them etc.

well it sounds like im screwed...i work in the states and the pay is nice but school is expensive here as well as car payments so its hard to save enough money for a prolonged stay =(
