Jason has a lot of fans. I don't even believe he got the lowest number of votes that night. Syesha doesn't have the fanbase he has. The AI producers have never released vote counts so we have no way of knowing. That night Ryan Seacrest said "Syesha, you're in the top 3". He never said, "Jason, you got the lowest number of votes". It doesn't matter now. It's all for the best. Jason is happier off of that show.

He has been interviewed by tons of Fox affiliates and he has cleared that up. He was saying VOTE, VOTE. He said it twice for emphasis. He wanted to go further but was also relieved to be eliminated because he had a hard time keeping up with the AI schedule. Next week the contestants have to learn 3 songs to perform, plus they shoot a Ford commercial every week, have interviews and photo shoots. Jason did really well in the beginning when he only had to perform 1 song each week, but once they doubled up on the songs, he started getting burned out.

I just found out where in Colombia his parents are from, if anyone is curious. His mother is from Palmira, Valle del Cauca. His father is from Barranquilla. :-)

I wish I knew what part of Colombia he's from. Maybe he'll reveal that in an interview soon.

Parent-initiated Adoption KitsMom,

Wow! I'm actually starting to believe that a parent-initiated adoption is possible. I read your long message and have been doing some research. So far I've located and emailed 2 translators that are approved by the Foreign Relations Ministry (http://portal.minrelext.gov.co), an attorney in Bogota that has a great deal of experience with the ICBF (www.abogadosencolombia.com), the fingerprint forms from the FBI (www.fbi.gov), the necessary immigration forms (http://uscis.gov/graphics/exec/forms/index.asp), and an agency that will approve my homestudy (www.losninos.org) since there is no ICBF-approved agency in my state. Even though I'm not ready to move forward with the adoption just yet, I feel like I have all my ducks in a row and I'm much more confident about doing a parent-initiated adoption directly through the ICBF.

question for kitsmom Thanks so much for posting all that information about parent-initiated adoption. It's extremely helpful. I went to the ICBF web site but I couldn't find the list of attorneys that they recommend...do you have a link to that? Also, where did you find a list of translators in Colombia?
