Apart from enjoy some Balnearios you can also go to:

  • Bioparque Los Ocarros ( you can enjoy the flora and fauna of this region) -open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm and weekends from 9am to 5pm, the park is 3km via Villavicencio-Restrepo
  • Parque Los fundadores where you can take a tour of the city in the Chiva.
  • Parque Las Malokas, if you want to know the Cultura Llanera - open Tuesday to Sunday 9am to 5 pm. Via Ctama
  • Parque Merecure 45 km via pto Lopez the biggest park in South America, you can go camping or stay at their hotel, there is a man-made beach when you can enjoy aquatic sports, also they have a " resguardo Indigena and a zoo".
  • You can also go Quad biking, Paint balling, Horse riding
  • Complejo Jose Eustasio Rivera It was designed to promote the practice of some sports you will find 3 swimming pools, one Olympic, another one if you fancy diving, tennis court, chess room and a theater where you can enjoy some concerts, stand up comedy, etc
  • Parque El Sikuani:good places to take the kids, it has swimming pools, tobogans, mecanics atractions, open everyday from 9 to 6
  • Cerro Cristo Rey: located in the high part of the city, in the hill named El Redentor

There are numerous estaderos in Villavicencio, where you can find the best Carne a la Lanera and mamona, La topochera, El cabestrero are some of the best, also Villavicencio has very good restaurants, some of them are La Cofradia, elegants, specialized in all types of food La Tomatina ( very good pasta) Frutos del Mar ( good for sea food) La Banqueta Bastimetos (specialized in typical llanero food) chuzo gourmet, good Parrilas Argentinas Cholao for nice Ice Creams and cholaos And the best Juices you can go to La ñapa, there are two one near the Parque principal and the other one in El San Andresito de Villavicencio, near Centro Comercial Villa Julia :))) La Piedra del Amor, is another good restaurant with a nice view to the city. it is located on the old road to Bogota. Coco's; specialized in Meat, pizzas, hamburguers,Pastas, crepes, sweets

Getting around & transportation:

Taxis in Villavicencio are very cheap, a normal fair will cost you 4.000cop buses are around 2.000cop

How to Get there: By Plane, Aires, Satena and areotaca will flight to Vanguardia airport in Villavicencio By Land from Bogota, La macarena, Expreso Bolivariano, taxmeta, Autollanos, Velotax, it is an excellent road with 3 tunels and a viaduct that will take you in 90 minutes to Villavicencio.
