Turbo, Colombia

Write a review | Edit place information | Add a hostel

Turbo is a rough town, a port close to Panama. If you are here you are likely en route to somewhere else, Apartado, Necocli or Capurgana.

Buses to Medellin are 14 hours. You might be able to get a boat to Cartagena from here.

Population: 127,000 | Editing history.

Right downtown are a number of decent hotels. At the Costa del Sol, 20,000 gets you a private room with bath, fan and cable TV.

Things to do:

In truth there is little if anything here for the casual visitor. Watering holes with cheap beer abound, so that's a plus!

Getting around & transportation:

Collectivos to/from Apartado take an hour

Collectivos to Necocli take around two and a half hours and cost 8000 pp.
