La vi anoche en Univision con el presentador de siempre(Jorge Noseque). No pudo hablar mas mierda porque no comió un almuerzo mas grande.

La vieja no sabia que hacer para desviar la conversación. Decia cualquier cosa por evitar admitir algun negativo sobre las farc. Por ejemplo, el le preguntaba que para ella que era terrorismo y que si consideraba a las farc como terroristas. Como respuesta solo chillaba "narco-mafia-gobierno-uribe-para" en variadas combinaciones. Hasta lo ultimo se rehusaba a hablar mal de las farc hasta que el entrevistador la acorralo con preguntas muy precisas. En general se vio evasiva y desorganizada en sus respuestas. Ahí se demostró que esta pulga en el culo de Colombia no sirve para nada mas que propagandista de las farc.

Al final si dijo una que otra cosa cuerda en cuanto a la necesidad de justicia social en Colombia, pero ese migajita de sensatez se pierde entre todas las barbaridades que dice.

Billy I agree that such a thing is rather creepy and despicable, to suggest that someone should be kept under the conditions Ingrid is living (or dying for that matter) that is. However, (and I will try and thread carefully here because I do not want anyone misinterpreting what I am about to say), if you look at it from a strategic perspective, what would happen if to the other kidnapped people when or if Ingrid is released? Many people on this forum have complained about the fact that Ingrid is the one who gets the most press, but luckily, for those who are still kidnapped, her status has somehow allowed the rest to gain importance. So, yes, Vargas is absolutely right in saying that Cordoba's advice ultimately benefits the FARC, but sadly, in this case, Ingrid's liberation is a lose-lose situation for both FARC and the other rest of the people who remain kidnapped.

I read the original post and what she said and did not think she said that Colombia needed people like Marulanda, only people who can oppose the establishment (like he did and that is a fact....40 years of resistence). I think she stated that her heroes were Camilo Torres y Maria Cano. There are a lot of people who admire these people and not guerrilleros in Colombia. But as I said, it's a question of semantics and I wouldn't even dare to guess what percentage of Colombians would have understood it like Simon instead.

Coffee beaner, I don't know if you're Colombian (I would've thought so by your handle) then you should know that the turban is a common headgear for African-Colombian women and not just African-Colombian but of any black women of African ancestry in the Caribbean basin.

I have no great sympathy for PiedadCordoba, I've supported her efforts to get the hostages released and some of her former political work in favour of minorities but I'm very sceptical about her political agenda and do not like her flamboyant style.

Billy, if it's true that she had advised the FARCS not to release Ingrid (for whatever reasons, unless it was to guarantee the safety of the rest of the hostages) then she has lost even the tiny shred of understanding I had for her.

A mí me desquician las instituciones actuales, que están hechas para un grupo privilegiado de colombianos y colombianas que le tapan la boca a algunos periodistas, que compran el Congreso, que se quedan con los recursos de la salud y la educación y que regalan los recursos naturales y legalizan las tierras que le quitan a los campesinos de Colombia, desplazándolos.
