"WELCOME TO COLOMBIA".

LAN is a Chilean company, you are aware of that.

I had American Airlines screw up my baggage, and I didn't blame Colombia for that, I blamed the airline!!!

BTW, have you ever make a claim in el dorado? (colombian airport) or have you ever make a claim about mistakes in your phone bill? (specially on mobiles). . .

WELCOME TO COLOMBIA !

The banks are one thing I agree with. I have chosen to be among the 71% of people here who don't bother with a bank account.

(Wishing to practice my listening in English virtually)

OK you were flying from where to where exactly? How many bags? None arrived in Bogota and how many did you check? If you went Miami to Bogota on LAN they could have sent them to Santiago by mistake meaning the bags were thrown into a container for Santiago. I think that flight may stop somewhere after Bogota and before Santiago as well. ????????

Unless they were stolen by a bad employee or the tags fell off I would bet they get them to you within two days. Did you properly put those identification tags the AIRLINES provide on your luggage with legible and credible information? If the tags fell off the bag or bags and you have no identification your stuff could end up in a warehouse in Alabama for years!

Come back in three days to PBH and give us an update?

All the airlines miss bags but most show up in 24 to 48 hours to your door. They (airlines) move hundreds of thousands a day world wide and actually do a pretty good job overall.
