Working abroad...HELP!!!

Hello to everyone, i have been thinking about working abroad next summer and had a conern about this. I mentioned this on PBh not to long ago, but i need more advise. I am currently in my last yr in college for my civil engineering degree, but i want to go away next summer. I want to work in Madrid, Spain but need help in getting an engineering intern job for maybe 4-6 months. Does anyone know anyone that can help me? Any advice?? I also want to work in colombia afterwardds, be away from home (ny)for about 8 months- 1 yr to experiment more and see what i want.
can anyone help me?? I woudl appreciate any advice given. Thanks
