Health Certificate showing that applicant has been vaccinated against yellow fever. This certificate is required ONLY if the applicant is traveling to any of the following Departamentos (States) in Colombia: Amazonas, Antioquia, Arauca, Bolívar, Boyacá, Casanare, Caqueta, Cauca, Guaviare, Magdalena, Meta, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, Santander, Vaupés or Vichada.

Generally speaking you will need:

Three passport pictures.

Valid passport - should be valid for a minimum of six months..

Fill in the visa application form usually available on line.

Photocopy of your Passport which should be valid for a minimum of six months .

Original and copy of the contract or letter of the company where you will work.

Letter of Compromise from the company that is hiring the foreigner requesting the visa, in which they assume financial support on the travel expenses to the country of origin when the contract or service is finished. (Decree 2107 Oct.8/2001).

Certificate of incorporation and legal representation issued within a maximum precedence of 3 months. **

Certificate of Proportionality(Certificado de Proporcionalidad) issued by the Colombian i Ministry of Work and Social Security of Colombia (Ministerio del Trabajo).

Proof of experience, diplomas, licenses or certificates that indicate that the foreigner is suitable for the position.

Police report. It must be translated into Spanish.(THIS MAY NO LONGER BE REQUIRED BUT i THINK IT IS)

You should have been told by the consulate what paperwork will need a translation and/or an Apostille and the number of copies of each document..

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME UNLESS YOU HAVE EXACTLY WHAT THAT PARTICULAR CONSULATE WHERE YOU ARE APPLYING REQUIRES.
