Hmm this red tape can be frusterating. I had lined up some work teaching English in the coffee region. Apparently the law has been changed in recent weeks and a teaching degree is required for Colombia. i.e. A Bachelor Degree and TESL Certificate will not do the trick. Furthermore, the work permit has to be arranged from your home country. A trip to a neighboring country will not work. All documents have to be authenticated in the USA or Canada. Has anybody out there gone through this experience. My plan was to stay up to 6 months, but I may have to return early. Any suggestions? Thanks Darrel
