Work at Home jobs

Ever since returning from my vacation in Cali and seeing how nicely someone can live on so little I have been trying to think of ways to go back and live there. I'd have a little over a grand coming in each month from investments, but have been looking into ways to make about another thousand or so to live really nicely. Anyone ever check out any of these work-from-home jobs? A few pay hourly wages that wouldn't be much in the states but with a Vonage line one could work from Colombia and be making a very nice salary. Any thoughts?

A Colombian friend who lives in Argentina came for visit and casually mentioned that she worked for a telemarketer in Argentina, the kicker was; she was calling people in the US to make the sale.

The company purchase a list of homes in the US where the primary language is Spanish and another list where the people use English. Those telemarketers that only speak Spanish of course are assigned the Spanish speaking households.

The company is run by an Argentinian who lives in Miami, the mailing address is in Miami, but all the phone orders go through Buenos Aires.

Oh, I almost forgot, there biggest selling product is made in Colombia.

Any guesses as to the product.

What is the US famous for: Its Constitution and Bill of Rights? More guns than people? More cars than people? Feminists? McDonalds, etc? Freedom? 'Capitalism'? Vin Diesel? Britney Spears? Madonna?

I gotta think the Constitution is worth more than USD$ 30, but you couldn't pay me to take Madonna.

Well, I can't hold out any longer.

America is world famous for fat people!

And the product marketed by my wife's friend that is made in Colombia are fajas, or body shaping girdles.

Apparently America is a prime market for fajas.

LOL fajas. Two words: webcam sex! You can easily do that from anywhere in the world that has a decent broadband connection available. Then again, I don't know about broadband connections in Cali.

Wouldn't $1k a month do you nicely in Cali? If i had that much coming in in Bogota I'd never work!

decent money from avg colombian wage? While I was there in July I talked to a calena. Her brother was an engineer and her sister was a doctor and neither of them made more than $750/month. Not terrible, but shows the reason that I would not look for work with a company in Colombia but telecommute for an American wage. You can make more money doing very low-skilled work (maybe telemarketing) than you could doing most high-skilled/high hours jobs. Though I've heard teaching english pays very well also.
