Developments in countries such as Afghanistan, the Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo show that military interventions cannot bring about lasting stability. Crisis and conflict can only be avoided if their structural causes are addressed.

nine inch nails says on Jun 21, 2009, 14:00: Proly right webman but wouldn't it be wonderful if Iran por ejemplo changes back to the way it was pre 1979 revolution quite possibly inspired by US military intervention on both sides? I know I'm dreaming but there has to be some hope here. . If Iran gets the Nuke and remains hardline Islamic Republic it will be a whole new world and not one for the better. I love how Germany and most of Western Europe for that matter live with their heads in the sand like the harsh world's problems won't affect them. Nuclear fallout will affect everyone on this planet.
