Then for some reason she moved back to BQ (homesick I guess) and ever since all she's been able to do is work odd jobs(not in her field of study of course).

It usually goes like this: provocative statment based on opinion. Someone replies with a different point of view. OP answers with something along the lines of "I am a true Colombia expert, you are dumb." Makes for some lame discussions.
