Shorts in Bogota Shorts are definitely a strange site in Bogota. Last September, I was at a hotel on Avenida 100. I needed to run to the Olimpica down the street to buy something in a big hurry. So I threw on some shorts and a t-shirt and ran down to the store looking like a tourist ass during the middle of a weekday.

This is very much a business district and all the men were walking around in suits. Needless to say, I got a million weird looks and one numbnut even wolf whistled at me. The ladies in the store surely thought I was crazy. I got a laugh out of the whole thing and quickly ran back to the hotel. The point is... Don't wear shorts in Bogota.

I recall meeting a Colombiano in Cali that was something like 47 years old and the guy has never been anywhere outside his city. he has experienced nothing, he has a ho hum job, owns nothing, does nothing, has created nothing, and probably never will.
