I was thinking from:
* Barranquilla
* Bogota
* Cali
* Medellin
I guess humidity and heat are more likely to be factors than the cold!
Once again, thanks in advance for your valued input!
Take it easy all

kernow62 says on Sep 10, 2005, 10:11: Bogotá is hot and humid, so that's out. Cali is to fricken cold, scratch that one. Medellin is hot but dry like the Sahara. So I guess Barranquilla with its low humidity and spring-like temps would be my choice.

utopiacowboy says on Sep 10, 2005, 11:39: Hands down, Medellin. No need for air conditioning or central heat. They have a lovely spring-like climate year-round. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. |

Desideria (Moderator) says on Sep 10, 2005, 15:29: it's a tie between Medellin and Cali. If you like a bit warmer then it's Cali. Medellín has a lovely climate too and so does Popayán. Spring all the time but no real warmth. I believe the median temp in Cali is rising slowly but surely; also I haven't been able to spot a perfect time for my visits there wetaherwise. 24 degrees Centigrades, year around is summer all the time. The humidity is not too bad and the nights can be even a bit chilly. "I have opinions of my own, strong opinions, but I don't always agree with them."-President George W. Bush |

Rubiazo says on Sep 11, 2005, 10:22: Depends a lot on you Given that nominal 'room temperature' is around 21C I would say Medellin is the statistically best city for temperature. I prefer Bogotá because I like it on the cool side. Cali would already be a bit too warm for me.

Mario says on Sep 11, 2005, 11:03: I love the temperatures in Bogota. But it's strange as hell when I see people wearing a ski mask or women holding a scarf up around their face and it's a balmy 68 - 70°F outside.

treeshark2 says on Sep 11, 2005, 18:10: Medellin for me Having stayed in Barranquilla and Medellin and visited the airport at Bogota, I like Medellin. Was hot during the day but I could walk for hours and would very rarely break a sweat. Night time you really need a light jacket or heavy shirt.

thur says on Sep 12, 2005, 08:10: Bogotá. From friends I've heard they really like the warm Medellin climate. I don't remember much from Medellin, so I'd go for Bogotá with it's stable 18°C. It's cool, but not that cold during the day. One just have to avoid open spaces where there's a lot of wind and with a bit of sun it's quite nice. - www.pbase.com/thur |
