Where to shop in Cartagena?

When I lived in Medellin I did nearly all my shopping at the Exito in Envigado. I've been to Cartagena about 6 times and need to know where there is a large hypermarket (previously I have been directed to Olympia but it only has food). I don't want to shop for handicrafts etc I need shoes, sandals, curtains, toys, cushions etc. Is there not a large shopping mall anywhere? Also, where should we go to buy fresh fish?

Castellana is quite a ways inland from Centro but there is a huge mall with an Exito across the street.

You could buy fresh fish at the mercado if you have bodyguards.

My bodyguard is my husband! Doesn't bother me going to the market anyway - lived in Guayaquil, Ecuador for 8 years. Thanks for the info. How much roughly in a taxi?

larumberainglesa Taxi fare from Centro to Castellana Mall/Exito, the mall has quite a few good shops, plus a large Vivero, which is like Exito, is 8,000 pesos.

La Ciudad Vieja Go to la ciudad vieja, there's a lot of shopping there. or you can go to San Andresitos in Bocagrande, san andresitos is a little bit more cheaper than la ciudad vieja.
