I have read all the PBH posts on this subject. Some PBH'ers have some great advice (Ctg Bound, Robbie, etc.). I am looking for some current advice based on the following parameters:
1. $100,000 USD budget.
2. Two properties needed. One for a vacation home, one for a rental.
3. Both properties need to be within 50KM of each other.
4. Within 50KM for an International Airport.
Can anyone please recommend?
1. Build vs. buy? (Time is available to build.)
2. Remate?
3. Up and coming locations?
4. Contacts?
5. Anything else?
Please be serious. Thank you in advance to all those who reply with informative comments.

utopiacowboy says on Aug 19, 2008, 20:01: An international airport really scuttles the deal. Monteria is not too far from the coast of Cordoba and Sucre but you have to connect in Cartagena, Bogota or Medellin. I have occasionally seen flights from Panama City to Monteria stopping in Cartagena. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

harvardexec says on Aug 19, 2008, 21:51: Thanks for the great comments. Let me open the definition of International airport to include any airport that has access to international flights. This would include flights to Panama, Venezuela, etc. "I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. Papi de Alejo says on Aug 21, 2008, 22:12: Don't count out Santa Marta. The airport there is not very far from the airport in BAQ. As a matter of fact, you can use either airport for a roundtrip flight just as you could fly in or out of LaGuardia in New York City and return to Kennedy or Newark without having to pay extra. The ride from BAQ to Santa Marta is actually less than the ride I used to have from Westchester County, NY to JFK. PdA 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
